Default Opinion on my build needed

I'm building a low mile, stock bottom end 2005 LQ4 to replace the blown LS1 in my 1998 Camaro SS. I would like some input and opinions on my combo. I will list the parts I have already purchased first, followed by the remaining parts i'm leaning towards purchasing second. Any input is welcomed. Thanks.

Purchased

BTR .660 springs
BTR trunion kit
PRC as cast 225's
Tick Polluter Cam .635/615 239/244 112
Morel 6504 lifters
Melling 10295 high pressure oil pump
LS2 timing chain
SLP 25% UD harmonic balancer
ARP balancer bolt
ARP head bolts
all new GM gaskets

Parts to be purchased?

Chromoly pushrods
Fast 92 intake
Nick Williams 92mm tb
Racetronix 255 w/ hotwire kit
Deatchwerks 42lb injectors

I run that same clutch as well. Along with with the same Racetronix unit and 42 lb injectors. Our builds are really similar actually lol. How about exhaust?

I'm really struggling with choosing a set of heads and intake selection. Don't know if it's worth the money for a set of TFS cast heads from BTR over the stage 2.5 truck heads. Also, i'm not sure if a Fast 102 intake is worth the fitment headaches over the Fast 92mm.

Currently running Pacesetters to a TSP ORY. Switching to the Speed engineering 1 7/8 headers to true duals dumped at the rear axle.

Any regrets with the topend build?

No regrets for what I paid for it. There was no need to do a stroker unless I was going to upgrade the heads and cam, so I'm very happy with the horsepower per dollar

Thanks. I'm probably just over thinking it. What cc chambers did you go with on your heads and how was your PTV clearance with the cam similar to mine?

The heads are 61.5cc. I have reliefs in my flat top pistons to make sufficient clearance. Don't remember the exact clearance but I know it was plenty. What kind of pistons are you doing? How much compression are you wanting?

Stock LQ4 dished pistons. Should be around 10.5:1 with the stock 63cc chamber on these heads. I'd probably be happy with that.

Yeah that should do pretty good. I'm at about 11.5:1 with the stock head gasket. I didn't want any higher on 93 pump gas

Running 11.5:1 on 93 pump? Didn't know you could get away with that. Maybe I'll try for 11.0:1 in that case.

Absolutely. As long as it's setup right it won't be a problem. I definitely would not go higher though unless I had more octane. This seems to be the general concensus guidline for these motors. If you search around you'll see this

Will do. Just purchased the Morel lifters and trunion upgrade from Brian Tooley. Going to contact Texas Speed tomorrow to send the heads off.

Yeah those lifters and trinion upgrade are nice. I just went with the LS7 lifters myself, and they've been fine as well

Ended up going with the PRC 225's. We'll see how that decision works out. Lol

Interesting choice. Did you get them used?
