Ls1 Block Build
Im looking to build a bare ls1 block i have laying around for a swap. Looking for 550-600whp. Willing to spend the money for a reliable build. Im not set on going any specific route. The car will occasionally be used on the track.
Im open to anything from the budget to a full stroker build.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, no one is going to come out here and put together an endless list of builds for you to peruse through.
Use the search function and find builds that interest you. The LS1 has been out for 25 years, there is tons of information already posted here.

Forced Induction is your friend for 500+ whp and stock LS1 cubes.
Stock LS1 w/MagnaCharger & Summit Ghost Cam 222/233 should be good for 550whp to 600whp and no specifics.
Bare block LS1 build? What the budget?
I'd pick another block like LS2/LS3/LS7 etc because building what ever you build will cost about the same. Bigger the bore the better.
What type of vehicle? Approx weight? Rear end & gear? Automatic or stick? Which transmission?
~450 whp NA is budget friendly for a stock cube LS1
~500+ whp NA is expensive for a stock cube LS1
~525+ whp NA is very expensive and detail oriented for a stock cube LS1

I've seen a stock bottom end LS1 lay down 10's in an Fbody car with major weight reduction. Used to be able to get an LS1 re-sleeved but most will not touch them nowadays. I agree you should go for the cubes and source a better LS block but if you have everyrhing for the LS1 and you're on a tight budget then go for it. GLWB..

The car is a 350Z it has the CD 009 transmission current weight is right around 3000 pounds.
Only reason I’m using LS1 block is cause I had it laying around. I want to have an aluminum block for keeping weight low. As for how to make the power it honestly doesn’t matter to me I could do boost or I could try to build something NA. I’m just kind of curious on how people made 500+ wheel on this platform
this is going to be my first performance LS Build. But I do have experience building other platforms
as for budget I’m going to spend the money for the right amount of power.
