I guess this post can go here. But my car is running like crap. I thought it was a 02 sensor issue, but i just replaced that 02 today and after 15mins the LTRIMS on the drivers side went to +25 while the B2 side stays around -2 to -3. But this started about 4 months ago when i thought one sensor went bad. I reaplaced that one and that sensor started acting up around 2-3 weeks. This brand new one started acting up in 15mins LOL.

But something is throwing my car off on the drivers side. Could there be anything internally wrong maybe? I mean the car runs great for a while then just goes to hell. Bad injector? wiring? I have a 224 .563 114 cam. No issues on that side ever either

Reset the pcm so that the Ltrims are reset to 0.

If it happens again, let's think about it. +25 means pcm thinks you are lean, and is adding fuel... it can't add more than 25% so it could even be maxed out. is the car running rich and is it sluggish and down on power too? something is wrong on that side, perhaps burned wires? Also if the 02 does not work right it might sit at like .450mv's and not switch at all.

PSJ or anyone.. can you break down as to what .450mv is?? looking at my 02's the one on that side usually stays around .0650 when this happens. It hardly ever comes out of a .0xx reading. I think the reason it ran today for a while after i replaced the 02 was because i had unhooked the battery and maybe that reset the PCM. But it was doing fine then i pulled into a parking lot to fix something on atap and the car just went to hell outta no where. Like something clicked and it was saying FU LOL <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

but my AF guage(yes i know they suck and i just like the lights flashing) hardly comes off of red. But like you said, for some reason the car thinks its lean and is adding MAX fuel to that side!!

i traced the 02 wires from that sensor and up beside that header to where it goes up top and back to the back of the engine again. After that I cant see or check any wires.

so is something just wacking that 02 sensor out? wires??? where or what can i check??
btw: if it matters here is the pic of that sensor i just put in... i looks normal for 15mins worth of work. Also smells like fuel which would be normal i guess

Are you throwing any codes or showing any misfires? Check the misfire history and see if you might have one cyclinder that is missing alot.

So let me get this Straight
you removed the Autometer Air fuel guage ?
and re-spliced the wires ?
I had this problem with the o2 sensor not cylcling like it should my trims were at 25
and thought it was a bunch of things untill,i got rid of the A/f Guage. After i got rid of it things started to figure themselves out right away Just a thought try it out and see what happens

Is your AF gauge spliced into the 02 wiring on that side? I t-tapped into the signal wire off the pcm loom right off the pcm.

if the value stays at one spot like 450mv's somethng is weird, at idle it should be going from like 0 to like 500 or so. Very rapidly... Injectors are opening and closing as needed.

I dont know which wire that was since its been so friggin long LOL.

BTW: i didnt remove the spice, i just unhooked the coonector that goes to that splice for the AF guage. In other words the splice was still connected to that wire(just nothing hooked to that)

ok i feel like a dumba@@

i didnt even unhook the a/f guage wire... It was the MSD window switch wire that i took off <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />

anyway I found the A/F guage splice and took that all off. I started the car and it idle fine. LTRIMS on the bad side hovered around 0 to +9. So i went ahead and drove out and around for a few. The more I drove the better the LTRIMS on that side started to get. Is the PC relearning or something here??? Anyway when i got back home after 15mins the LTRIMS on both sides were around -4.5 to 0.8 which is great!

maybe the guage was killing the PCM?? i guess ill find out when i cruise out a few more times <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
