Contact Futral Motorsports. They have a nice 408ci cam selection.

I am using a 244/248 in mine with renegade lobes. I am loving it so far. I will post when I have some numbers for it.

I've got a Comp Cams 242/246 in mine, with a 114 LSA. Nice idle, not too choppy, and pulls great to 6,600.
With Patriot ST3 LS6 style heads, it makes over 400ft/lbs at the wheels from 3,000rpm and up.

I went 242*/250* .609"/.615" 114 LSA ..but I am hitting mine with a 300 DP...Should still make great power on motor though. but I would say a 242/244 .600"/.610" 112-114

I have a FMS 242/246 with a low LSA if you're interested.......it's over .600 on the lift

It is NIB, never taken out of the cover before. With the original FMS cam sheet and all!

Let me know if you want it!

dwayne- that should work well and while I don't have my cam stuff in front of me that lift sounds about right or you could do something similar using the renegade lobes and keep the lift at.580
are you planning on spray?

Any solid roller guys. I was thinking in the mid 250/mid 260s for my 408 all motor. I'm sure I'll change my mind though.

its a 242/250 .611/.619 114 it was cut for strokers and is what they use in all their big motors

Dynoed 458rwhp/532rwtq though a 12bolt and Th400

wasn't that cam designed for stock heads??

I'm running a 246/250 .632 fms cam. trapping 130+. I'm going to go bigger though, so if you are interested... less than 300 miles and 12 passes on it.

I just noticed you said hydraulic roller. You planning on spinning it that high with hydraullic lifters. I don't think the Rs will take that, especially with any kind of agressive lobe. Also, I don't think you will find a spring for that that won't either collapse a lifter or float the valves. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe your running the rev kit.

sorry I probably should have provided more details, my Dad (aka Demon SS) has spent many hours researching the motor setup in this car and talked to many cam pros and what we came up with is the cam I mentioned and we are using the Comp 921 springs and Schubeck lifters. the car is finally starting to come together after many changes, but we hope to find the power band more in the 6500-7000 rpm range but with a little cushion built in.

Now that makes more sense. 7000rpm with hydraulics, especially like the R's, Schubeck, and Morels, is deffinately obtainable.
