I've got a Comp Cams 242/246 in mine, with a 114 LSA. Nice idle, not too choppy, and pulls great to 6,600.
With Patriot ST3 LS6 style heads, it makes over 400ft/lbs at the wheels from 3,000rpm and up.

I went 242*/250* .609"/.615" 114 LSA ..but I am hitting mine with a 300 DP...Should still make great power on motor though. but I would say a 242/244 .600"/.610" 112-114

I have a FMS 242/246 with a low LSA if you're interested.......it's over .600 on the lift
It is NIB, never taken out of the cover before. With the original FMS cam sheet and all!
Let me know if you want it!

I went with Speed Inc's SS3
its a 242/250 .611/.619 114 it was cut for strokers and is what they use in all their big motors
Dynoed 458rwhp/532rwtq though a 12bolt and Th400
I could not have chose a better cam

I'm running a 246/250 .632 fms cam. trapping 130+. I'm going to go bigger though, so if you are interested... less than 300 miles and 12 passes on it.

Also, I don't think you will find a spring for that that won't either collapse a lifter or float the valves. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe your running the rev kit.

Now that makes more sense. 7000rpm with hydraulics, especially like the R's, Schubeck, and Morels, is deffinately obtainable.
