Sweet buddy! I hope to be back in March...it looks as though I'll be living in St. Louis soon. A transfer opportunity within IBM has come up and I am pursuing it. I need to get up there and see my sis anyhow--she is a freshman this year.

I'd like to know more, like what's the compression ratio being run on this car? Stock rear end?
460rwhp is very feasable w/ ls6 heads/cam and a stock rear end and 11.5+:1 compression......
I'm sure my car, Justin's and many others would put out similar numbers with LS6 heads, high compression, and a stock rear end.

Are you saying that even with identical gearing (4.10's) that just the mere fact it's a 12 bolt vs. the stock 10 bolt it would change the HP output that much? I wouldn't think the differences would make that much of an impact on the final #'s.

Congrats on the numbers they are stellar. My guess is that these runs were made with a huge cam 238/238 .59x/.59x 108 lsa cam, C/F driveshaft, alum flywheel, stock rear, 95 octane gas (still technically pump in Texas <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ), and skinnies on the rear inflated to 50 psi <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> There have been people that gained 10-20 rwhp alone on dyno tricks it doesn't seem to far away from others numbers that have posted here.

Well I can atest that it was a GM steel driveshaft, stock clutch, and 93 octane, and if anything the tires (295/18s not spares) were at most 35psi but more likely 30 since he is driving it back today.

Ya' know I think it is funny. All the Cartek guys (on Corvetteforum, heck on all the sites) come out to bash on Lou as soon as he makes the announcement. They griped that the dyno was rigged to get those numbers, that their package was better since they did their numbers in a c5 (etc...).That since the test was done on a F-Body the post should be moved out of C5 tech....
Now, that was not Cartek themselves (Julio, etc..), just their customers. Anytime anyone posts a big number they are all over it. Now, brent's car has dyno around 450 with a 4.10 gear. So, he is figuring his car will dyno 463 or so with 3.42s. Yes, Cartek IIx pkgs have run 10's in a C5.
I have yet to see the EXACT cam specs of a Cartek IIx pkg. They have been notoriously secret about what they are doing. I don't see anyone complaining.
As far as I am concerened all those guys can keep their numbers secret. They did the R&D, not you. Now, I would hope at some point the numbers from Cartek and others would come out, so we can add that information to all the other that is out there.
My reason, I want to have all the information possible, and I want to make the most HP with the fatest curve.
But, LGM did the research, and invested the time. It is no secret that stuff Lou has developed has been copied on several occasions.
I don't see any of the CNC shops handing out their data files on their cylinders heads so you can duplicate it at any shop you wish...
All I can say to you cry babies is grow up... Learn to understand what competition, and running your own business is all about.
