Default rough idle after tune?

Alright guys I decided on the F13 w/114 lsa with the intentions on lowering my idle in order it to be "lopey". Is this safe to do, and does it effect power and performance in anyway? Allen highly suggested the 114 lsa on the A4 so any input would be helpful, I just want a deep rougher idle?
Thanks

What size converter/gears do you have? If you really want a rough idle I don't see why you couldn't go 112 LSA. I'm running the MS3 on my auto and it's really not bad.

Like I said, what gears? 2.73 or 3.23 or aftermarket? Not listed in sig. I'd go with the 112 if you want a somewhat rough idle.

I wouldn't be afraid to go with a 112 LSA on that cam in my A4 car and it might be preferable over the 114 if you're really going to install that 3400 stall speed converter. For that cam, the 3400 isn't big enough and I'd strongly suggest something like the Yank SS3800. You're also going to want 3.73 gears. If you get that cam and stick with your stock 3.23 gears (or, God forbid, 2.73's) and a 3400 converter, your car is going to be a dog off the line in comparison to if you got a proper setup with a bigger stall and deeper gears.

you can get a good lope with a 114 really as long as you keep the rpms slightly lower and the 114 will give you much better driveability...i agree get some decent gearing though as it will help you off the line alot with such a small converter.

I have the MS3 (237/242 .603/.609 113) in an auto with a 3500 stall converter and stock 3.23's. It really isn't as bad out of the hole as people say. People are always talking about the lack of low end torque on big cams, but it's really not much of an issue IMO.
My best 60' before the cam was 1.726 with a 1.742 on my best run(12.62). After the cam and dyno tune, no other changes by best 60' was 1.739 with a 1.79 on my best run (12.21). I was not able to stick as well the day with the cam as I was previously either. This is with a cam a bit larger than the F13, whose power doesn't start for real till 4k. As you can see, my best 60' was only 0.013 slower.
Of course, I made more power and went quicker/faster but my 60' didn't improve, which is what should really happen. I'm having the converter restalled from 3500 to 4000 this month, that should help a good bit. I will move to 3.73's eventually as well. Possibly as early as this fall.
