Florida climate, TR224 cam...what oil should I use?
I have been using Mobil1 10W-30 since the car had 3000 miles on it. I bought the car new, then changed oil at 500 miles, then again at 1500 using normal oil, then switched to Mobil1 10W-30 at 3000 miles and have been using it ever since. The car has just over 50k on it now, and it's getting a new cam this weekend. Considering that I live in Florida, should I keep using the same weight oil or should I change to something different?
The car is mainly a weekend driver.
I know that oil has been discussed a lot, and I did do a search on it, but most of you folks don't seem to live in Florida, and since climate plays a role in what oil to chose, I figured I'd ask about it.

Midwest gets pretty hot and humid. My car likes 10w 30 as long as the oil is fresh. As the oil gets older the oil pressure drops about 10-15psi. Then its time for new oil.
The key is to keep an eye on the oil pressure gauge. When its lower than normal you know the oil is too thin.

Don't really see how a rise of 10 degrees ambient temp will make any difference. The cooling system will have to be OK but the thermostat dictates the engine temp and is fixed. The oil will run at the usual temp.
Oil type only really matters when the engine is worn and pressure drops.

I've done 7 total used oil analysis' on my LS1. Most were on 10W-30 oil except for two that were on 15W-40. The thicker oil showed all around lower wear in every category and still had more additive package left compared to the 10W-30's. FYI
