Default TRex in Pizza Delivery type vehicle

I already run a TR224 on a 114 LSA. Ive decided I dont want any FI. So bigger the better as far as im concerned. M6, full bolt ons, 4.10 gears.
What would the maintaince be like on this cam?
What would make me not want to do this?

I think the T-rex might be a little much for a pizza delivery vehicle. G5X3 or MS3 maybe?

BTW: What wheels are those? Size, price??

If you are going to be jockeying pizza's with this car, make sure you have your own tuning software or access to someone that does.

It can be done. It will also take a bit of fine tuning.

My brothers are both pizza delivery drivers, if you have to drive half as much as they do then your dumb for using your LS1 esp with mods like that for such a job.

Buy a beater ecnonomy car and drive that one instead.

As for the TREX, I used to have one and was very happy with it as a N/A cam, although I love my twin turbo setup a lot more.

lol i quit Pizza Delivery. I was just wondering what the hell is the problem with using it? No low end or something?

The wheels are ZR-1's but i got them powdercoated locally. they were 150 or so each. there 9.5x 17's in the front and 11's in the rear. plus i had to get them powder coated which was another 150. so in total 750 or about?

just because you can squeeze a t-rex in a stock-head motor doesn't mean it's the best choice. if you're simply looking at peak numbers you need to do your homework. if you just want something that will rattle the windows at idle, i would suggest calling lunati cams and have them custom grind one. i had settled on this cam before i did any research, based on peak numbers and the fact that it sounds like a pro-street car. to take advantage of this cam in YOUR car for example, you'd need to consistently spin 7k+ and keep an ls1 starter on hand because of the extra use yours will get after the stalling at stop lights. i would suggest a g5x3 (114) or ms3, perhaps an fm14. unless you're all-out race, leave the t-rex alone, it will turn your car inside out.

Alright its out of my power range cuz theres bigger probs when you spin to 7k then what kind of cam you have or hell even drivetrain. What causes it to stall at idle?

Properly tuned it should not stall at stoplights. Besides that, I'm sure the starter would be just fine if that was the case.

I do stand by my recommendation of an MS3 or G5X3 though. With the right exhaust it'll lope along nicely behind you while you deliver the pizzas. You might get better tips out of.....or worse, ya never know

G5X2 seems like something you would like.

My buddy has the Trex and I have never seen his stall. It is tuned offcourse.

F13.14 sounds like it something you'd want.
f13/f14 = 230/232 /// 232/234. Idle with a damn good lope, and make killer power.

Personally I think you'd do good with the F13, that cam makes decent amount of extra lowend, and you dont have to spin it to 7k. Alot of people set those with the shift lights around 64-6600...

I loved my F14, the TQ curve and lowend tq was simply amazing. Plenty on tap for just driving around in the low rpm, etc.
I made a little over 404/381 with pace setters/duals and a lid. NO pulley, etc etc...
Made a few tuning changed later on, might have put down some more, who knows...

by the time you tune that cam to be street friendly it will produce numbers similar to an f'n 224.
