Oh, install the oil pump correctly too
Did you have to remove the rear cover? Also, did you check the little dumbbell guy in the front behind the oil pump? Any chance that you messed with the spring in the oil pump?

That spring in the pump...not sure what or where that is. I never messed with it atleast. I ll check that out when I am in there.

I ll read it over again and see if it makes any sense. I'm in the process of doing H/C as well. That was my thread about centering the oil pump housing on the drive. That would not cause you to have zero oil pressure. Putting the spacer in wrong would. I just took my old pump and made a template of the two mounting holes and the oil discharge port, and then I flipped it. Sure enough, if its in wrong you will pump the oil right back into the pan. Unless you replaced the pump, and the new one is totally nonfunctional, I don't see what else it could be.

Its possible to put the bigger spacer on backwards. I realized that it did go a certain way and I spent a lot of time getting it on there right. So I really dont think thats my problem.

The oil pump has a spring in it that changes the pressure. My SLP Oil Pump came w/ 2 springs. One for stock pressure and one for additional pressure. I will take a pic and post it tomorrow.

Ok. Got the car apart again. Now I want to do this right the first time. So her is what I am going to look for.
1. Oil pump O ring.
2. Spacer - may of put it on backwards.
3. Spring in pump...still not sure where.
Anything else?
When I took the cover off the chain had oil on it. Everything seemed coated a little bit. Not sure if that means oil was flowing or not cause the rockers had very little oil on them. I am going to get the car jacked up tommarow and get the oil pan dropped so I can remove the pump. But I just dont want to have to do all this over again. So is that all I should look for?

There is a pressure relief valve in the pump. The spring puts pressure on that relief valve. If you look on the right side bottom of the pump, you will see a large Allen head screw. The spring is behind that. If the pump was working when you removed it, and you didn't mess around with it when you had the pump out, I doubt it's the problem. Some people put a shim between the screw and the spring to increase oil pressure. I left my Katech ported LS6 oil pump alone. I figure they know what they're doing, so why mess with it. If you remove the two right side bolts you might be able to slide the spacer out without disassembling everything. While your in there, you might want to remove the pump cover and check to make sure the pump is centered on the crank sprocket/oil pump drive. You can read my thread on that. People have offered a few different ways to accomplish that. When you have the pump cover off, you can squirt some heavy weight oil in there to help prime the pump.
Take your time and check everything twice.
