What cams are you guys running with .030 milled AFR 205s and uncut pistons?

What cams are you guys running with .030 milled AFR 205s and uncut pistons?
Stock bottom ends only please. What head gasket are you using and what is the PtV clearance (if known). I know every bottom end is slightly different, I would just like to get a general idea of the cam profiles that will fit without any flycutting. Thanks for the help guys.

Not much more than a 228 lobe if you want any type of safety net....Even that is getting tight and dont forget to inquire about LSA info as well....A 112 cam with the same lobes will have less P to V than the same lobes on a 114 LSA.
Look foward to some additional input from peope that have pushed the envelope here, but based on the clearances I saw with my 346 build, I wouldn't bo looking at anything larger than a 228 with a 114 LSA. I had the textbook .080/.100 minimum with the 224 grind installed at a 113 ICL (114 + 1) and I noticed some signs of valves occasionally making contact with a piston when that engine came apart (7K shifts and hard driving). Not the type of contact I was extremely concerned with, but contact none the less.

Note: We are discussing a head that was milled .030 and I am also assuming a thinner .040 Cometic here. An unmilled head can tolerate more cam, but in my opinion, what you get in power from the slightly larger cam you lose about the same due to the drop in compression and looser quench (which leaves you with an engine that makes the same peak power with the bigger cam, lower CR version but alot less torque and area under the curve as the higher CR, smaller cammed version).

Thanks for the info Tony. Looks like I will have to flycut anyway so I might as well go big and make power. I was hoping my TR230 would fit no problem, I'd like to get an A to B comparison with it.
Can anyone else chime in with first hand experience? Too much info is never enough!

I had a set with .035 off, and it was about 60CC . I never put them on because the I felt the compression was going to be to much for my TR224 to push out.
I sold those, and got another set with .020 off, and Ill be where I wanted to be, Just under 11:01. Ill be at more like 10.83:1. I may have been a waste, but I just felt safe with the lower compression ratio, and the long jevity of the car. I dont want radical, but a little more than a stock guy

CRAP!!
well it looks like im gonna be flycuttin with my TSP 233-239 cam and my milled .030 AFR 205s. On the good side that means i can run a .040 gasket and not the stock one and keep that compression up!!
When i called TSP they said with a stock gasket that it should fit, but i want that quench.

AFR's milled .018 ( 63cc ), 227/231 cam 111 lsa +0, .051 gasket ( not optimal I know ) , pistons out of hole .010 and 2cc flycuts.

AFR 205's milled .030", 224/228 .581"/.588" 112lsa+0 on Cometic .040's. Intake was .060", exhaust .065". I had to notch. As Tony said, notice I'm on a 112 and no advance.
