Default If you had $6,500 sitting around What would you do?

I have a 2000 camaro and I have my tax refund back and I am sitting on $6,500. I have a Moser 12 Bolt, Built RPM tranny, spec stage 5 clutch, sub-frame connectors and a NX nitrous system. No exhaust on the car alltough I have Texas Speed True Duals in the garage not installed and no suspension work. I want to do the motor for Nitrous and get 450 WHP off the bottle is it possible and what would you suggest. I will run a 100-150 shot of nitrous at the track. I will get suspension in a couple months I want some power for now.

$4000 - 402 LS2 motor
$1600 - PRC CNC dart 225 heads
$400 - Big meaty cam
$500 - Gaskets and bolts

Should be able to get close to 500 RWHP without spray, and youll have torque that hits like thor's hammer.

Just one possibility out of many...

you should be able to do a forged shortblock, with some decent heads and cam for that.... although, for not much more, you would probably be able to go to a 402/408, and make all kinds of power.

Put on QTP LT's, GMMG, AFR 205's, big cam, take off into the night, break my 10 bolt, cry because I have all of these goodies and can't even drive my car, give up on cars and join the circus.

Thanks to the people that posted a not so sensible but accurate response to my thread. Oh, and to those of you who are concerned with my finances. I have a wonderful carrier and make great money. Thank you, but I am doing fine and I have a sound financial portfolio. Maybe I should have mentioned that I am Married and this $ is extra and it is decided by my wife and I that this $ can go toward going faster in a straight line. Cool wife HUH . Please keep the not so sensible responses coming.

My buddy mikey just got a long block from FFHP for 6500. 402 with ETP 225's and custom cam. Then sell your stock block and get some nice headers.
