Default For those wanting GC oil...

I myself had a helluva time finding this ****...I searched all over local parts stores...I finally found some at Autozone....$5.19/qt. So for those that dont quite know what they are looking for, I took some pix. The bottle is black and the "0W-30" is inside a red box. It also says "Made in Germany" above the UPC barcode on the back. Hoping the thicker oil will help with some oil consumption issues, plus perform better over the M1 5W-30 I'm currently using.

The German Castrol I bought at Autozone looked identical to your picture but mine said "European Formula" on the front.

This won't be THAT much thicker than the M1 5w-30, actually will be thinner at startup and a little bit thicker than M1 when warm due to the fact that it's rated at a lighter warm weight than it actually is. Why not go with the Belgium 5w-40? Definitely a nice find though, that friggin stuff is def hard to come by.

Pennzoil makes a really rare Venezualan synthetic that only has approximately 50 cases produced each year. Its supposed to be worth more than gold.

It has much better oil analysis results than basically every other oil on the market (except for maybe Amsoil which shows to be very good as well, but is harder to get).

I hope this oil is a lot better then the stuff we use at BMW. We use synthetic Castrol and that stuff burns off FAST!
Is the bottle for the german castrol similar looking to the reg stuff? I usually put
Mobile 1 5w-30 in my civic (commuter car-no comments please ). Last oil change I went to Autozone and they were out of M1 so I got some Castrol in a
black bottle. I can honestly say it burned off very quickly, more so then the M1.

Well Im going to run this stuff the next oil change so we'll see if I notice anymore oil consumption than with the M1 5W30.

I believe it's the Ferrari F50 I read about long ago that required some type of oil that cost $65 a quart. Wonder what makes it cost that much???
