Default 382ci assembly pictures

I thought I'd post some pics of my 382ci LS1 going together. Here is the link:

382ci pictures

Specs on the new motor:
- LS1 block
- Mahle -6cc 3.905" pistons
- Mahle rings (1.5/1.5/3mm, std tension)
- Eagle LS1 specific 6.125" connecting rods (ARP 2000 bolts)
- King rod and main bearings; Durabond cam bearings
- Callies 4.00" crankshaft
- PRC stage 2.5 5.3l heads (2.04/1.57 valves)
* coated Comp 921 valvesprings
- Thunder Racing 7.350" pushrods
- Thunder Racing 235/248 .653/.618 112lsa (110* intake centerline)
- ARP head and main studs
- Melling high-volume oil pump (ported)
- Comp adjustable timing set
- Comp OEM replacement lifters

Link to Dyno Numbers - 505rwhp/478rwtq

This was my first time using Mahle pistons and Eagle LS1 specific rods. I was very pleased with the fit/finish of each of these parts. Very hard to beat each one of these for the money.

If anyone is interested, I'll type up a complete buildsheet with all bearings clearances, ring end gaps, side clearance, piston to valve, lifter preload, thrust, pin clearance, cyl bore diameter, etc.

Kent-Moore makes the cart - it works on f-bodies and vettes (with the proper add-on pieces). It does make life alot easier w/ motor removals/installs.

nice pics..

question.. does your block use the newer "all short" headbolt setup, or does it still have the longbolt/shortbolt setup??

This is the orginal block out of the car (2000), so it uses the long/short headbolt arrangment.
