Default Cam degreeing question.

I am putting together my motor project. Slp 402, AFR 225 heads milled at AFR, Fast 90/90, comp cams 238/240 .605/.608 Lsa 113.0

While I was degreeing the cam today I kept coming up with 66 and 155 x2 = 221 = 110.5 Lsa. This is my first time degreeing a cam but I checked this reading 4 times. Note my first reading was 156 and 67 = 112 Lsa but the last 3 were 110.5

My question is. What will this do to the performance and driveability of the car ? The cam sprocket and gear that came with the block is not adjustable as far as I know. If I advance the cam or retard the cam (not sure which I have to do) 1 tooth on the cam sprocket will this be way too much ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ron H.

Also I don't plan on spinning the motor past maybe 6k just so everyone knows.
Thanks

I found tdc without the heads on with a dial indicator. I dbl ckecked TDC 4 times before re-checking lsa reading. Also It is a single roller timing set. I believe it is the LS-2 timing set that comes with the SLP 402 block.
Thanks

does your card give the valve events at .050 lift? If so does what you measure correlate at all or are they off 3 degress too?

Thats ICL not LSA you are measuring there (if you are checking the intake lobe naturally). Just check the valve events @ .050 to double check everything. If you get the same numbers 5 times and you are 100% positive you have TDC correct then you can be sure where you are at. One or two degrees either way with that cam wont make a huge difference. Most LS1 cams have a couple degrees of advance ground in so 110 is probably right.

Use a piston stop to find TDC. If you have to use an indiactor go .200 down each way and push down on the thrust side of the piston while doing so.

Yes, I realized while I was at work and looked at the cam card that the intake centerline was what I was checking for and not the LSA. My mistake.
The centerline on the cam card says installed centerline of 111 which is only .5 off So I'm not too worried now. Thanks for the response

Common mistake, the LSA is the relationship between the intake and exhaust lobe and cant be changed unless you have a cam grinder at home

Good luck with it.
