I'd also like to see some real world, privately tuned/dynoed results.

I fired mine up saturday I also had my PCM tuned by TSP. Car starts right up idles fine hasn't had any problems with finding idle after you rev it or while coming to a stop. They clutch(hydraulics) have been giving use some problems with getting it fully bled(mighty vac is on it at the moment). So I haven't done any in town/traffic driving but starting from a stop(M6 3.42's) isn't as bad as what everybody was making it out to I don't even put any extra thought into starting from the stop, though I haven't done any hill starts or 6th gear driving. it definately lopes not as bad as I thought, it doesn't die when I turn the AC on and the vents still switch as quick as normal from dash to vent to floor at idle which on my car is 900 stock tach needle is steady. I used new lifters TSP pushrods and stock rockers and don't have excessive valvetrain noise. Overall I'm impressed with the cam and would recommend it to anyone maybe not as a first time cam as it does have some surge even in 3rd and 4th. I've had a few cammed cars so I can deal with it.

I think you'll be happy with it mine has stock 853 heads that i did a little home porting mostly on the exhaust side and smoothing tweaking on intake. right now 3500 rpm punch in 2nd gear it has no traction at all, though I do have some 16 wheels with 245 on them on right now, I'm trying to get them burned off so I can mount some DR's on those rims.

I am in the process of doing mine with the LS6 heads. Ran into some problems with a cracked bell housing so will be next weekend before I can work on it again and finish it up. I will post vid and numbers as soon as I can.

Do the pistons have to be flycut for this cam setup?

00454 was right if you have stock sized valves and unmilled heads they should clear.

So with factory heads, I can buy this cam and all the supporting valvetrain stuff (springs and pushrods) and just slide it in? I know that's pretty abbreviated from the actual time it takes to do a cam swap, but really... No issues at all? I don't want to be doing this cam to find out I've got some bent valves

It's always a good idea to check your engine to see if it clears, but yes.. thats it.

I spun mine over with the coil packs unpugged a couple times till oil pressure came up listened to see if there was any audible piston/valve contact happening. I know the lifters might not have been pumped up fully but it helped to give me a little peace of mind.
