You do not need to flycut the pistons. It has a very nice sound and good torque curve. If you do some research on this site, you'll see the ASA cam makes about 10-15whp more than the hotcam. A lot of people are getting 380whp with basic bolt ons. You only need to get ls6 springs.
Here are the specs between hotcam and ASA cam.
GMPP Hot Cam
218/227 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.525" / 0.525" int/exh lift
112 LSA
GMPP ASA Cam
226/236 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.525" / 0.525" int/exh lift
110 LSA
This is the cam to get if you want a little more power with no maintenance, set it and forget it, don't forget to get a tune.

member chris77 i think has this cam and it goes pretty good. It was on a video on Z28.com
