Default Roller Rocker advice please...

I've nearly exhausted all bolt on's, and am thinking about going with the Harland Sharp 1.8 roller rockers. I don't want to do a cam anytime soon. As a full bolt on car, what will I gain with these? Should I swap out the stock push rods with hardened ones while I'm in there? How will this run with 60k on my stock springs? Thanks for any help guys!

Heres what I'd like to get:

yes def swap some springs in there, the favorite are the gold duals but if you wanted to keep beehives the 918's are a good spring. and with that your gunna need hardened pushrods to. the reason for the valvesprings is cause those roller rockers put alot of extra weight over the valve and some members have reported valve float because of that

Cool, thanks. Am I going to need anything to go with the springs, like retainers etc? I don't have any experience getting into the engine yet.

depends upon what springs u get, if you get the compcams 918's no you wont need anything but i suggest you replace your valve seals at the same time. cause there right there. but if you get the gold duals kit it come with valve seals, retainers, seat and locks on some kits

This is what I'm wanting to do to max out full bolt-ons before I start heads/cam after I get back from deployment next year. I also want this car to run smoother.

What would I need to run the 1.8 or 1.85 rockers on my otherwise stock car? I have some blue ls6 valvesprings w/ retainers and locks just sitting in a box.

Would I need a longer pushrod?

I would also suggest you look into the Crane rockers before making a final decision. The Cranes will give you more valve timing in addition to the boost in lift. The Crane kit comes with the pushrods, etc. that you will need, but not with the springs. These rockers will also work well with the Comp 918's valve springs. I think you will get more from the Cranes than you will from the Harlands or any other 1.8 rocker out there. So do you homework first.

I Agree With Vettenuts, Same Opinion. Make Sure You Do Springs Though, Or You Will Run Into Harmonic Issues.
