Default Anyone running the TPIS ZL-15 Cam

If so, please share your thoughts about the cam's performance, and your satisfaction with it. Also, what other mods did you perform with the cam swap such as TPIS springs, etc. Thanks, Ken.

I know of three guys local that are running that cam in 427's. They all make about 540rwhp and 510rwtq with LS1 heads

I assume the heads would be seriously ported to run on a 427? Thanks, for the reply.

Sweet! Do you know how the idle quality is and whether they are running 78 or 90 mm TB?

Two are running the TPIS 90mm set up and the other is running the TPIS Oval
They all drive their cars on a daily basis to work and what not. We also drive to Union Grove Wis to Great Lakes Dragaway for a weekend and they all get between 26-30 MPG

Check out the Corn Powered Vettes!! thread

Off the TPIS Site:

ZL-15 with a 236/241 duration @ .050 and a .600/.566 lift, and our new ZL-17 Camshaft for the LS1, 251/251 .629/.629

All of these cams are ground on a 112 lobe seperation angle with the exception of the ZL-9 which is 110. We can do custom lobe seperation angles also.

Although in the Great Intake Test they said it was on a 113 lobe separation angle.

I am duplicating the LS2 intake with the 90 mm TB build for my engine which is why I am interested in other peoples experiences.

Thanks, Ken.
