Cubes are always a good thing generally, but with your supercharger you can pretty much set your CFM - you don't need the engine to pump it in, just handle the power.
I wouldn't go with a 4.10" bore (382?) with a supercharged setup.
With the blower in mind you would be better building your motor to handle more boost (forged pistons/rods - I would try and hold off on the iron block - it will really depend on which compressor you have (is that the p1-sc or the D1?), and what your ultimate HP goals are.

I've got the D-1SC.
Thanks for the advice... but, I'm not hearing enough argument about the nix on the stroker thing.
Can you convince me NOT to do the 383 thing?
Why NOT do it?
Thanks!

are you talking ALL-Stroke 382? 4 grand for a big crank and all that? too rich for my blood. even if i had a no $ labor deal. check out the lists. the fastest all stroke was MTI's Camaro. 10.40 on N2O...fasted one i saw was Trevors (11.3x). its your deal but ill let guys like ChrisB dwelve into the motor specifics.

If you have the $$$$ go for the stroker crank as long as you can get a decent ring package (you know what the comp height is off the top of your head?)
It's just a matter of money pretty much - as long as you can afford the extra parts without making compromises in other places you are golden.
I would spend the 2grand on a FAST instead of a stroker crank though

Lunati says 1.130, my calcs with a 6.125" rod and 4" crank is 1.121 (with the .006" the piston comes out on the LS1).

That should be plenty depending on the boost levels. If you intend on really working out the D1 you might consider going with a 6" rod instead for a bit better ring stack size.

To do it right will cost you about $10K (parts and labor- email me and I will tell you how much my crank, custom pistons, rings, rods, and bearings cost me). I am having one (382 stroker) built too. Parts are steadly coming in.
I am also going to have an intercooled Vortech T trim installed at the same time.

This would be fun, but it looks like it's still expensive... maybe 3-1/2 G's for the parts?
I don't know much about this. Can some of you guys hip me to what stroker kits consist of and the pitfalls?
The actual labor will cost me zilch. I'd just have to do without the car for about a month 'cause we could only work on it on weeknds.
I still gotta find a way to upgrade my tranny and rearend.
(I have an Godlen West Performance Stage II ATI Procharger and am running consistently in the low 11s. My best was a 10.98 @ 125.83 MPH.)

the parts just arent worth it (price wise). save some cash and pick up a iron block. bore it .040 and spend good money on pistons and rods. then run that little pulley ALL the time w/o the restriction. you'll fly.
