Default Could I use 1.8 roller rockers with this cam?

I have a GT2-3 camshaft from Lingenfelter--cam specs are 207/220 .578 .581
with a 112 LSA, would it be safe to run the 1.8 rockers or would i need flycut pistons, i dont know what my maximum lift can be, thanx in advance

Im not an expert by any means but im sure you can run 1.8 rockers with any cam it just depends on what springs you have. Im not 100% sure but with your lift with the 1.8 you will be close to .600 and maybe just over. I think you have to add 15-20% increase in lift with these rockers. Good luck

You should be OK, your duration is fairly low. Comp 918's would be a good spring for this, not sure what you are running. Also not sure what rockers you are getting, but the Cranes are excellent rockers.

I have Comp 918's so i have that area covered, sorry< I guess i should've said that earlier--I haven't picked a rocker yet since i wasn't sure if i could even run the 1.8's with the lift of the cam cuz i know it'll be well over .600 lift. I have another question, but do 1.8s increase your valvetrain noise? I don't want it to sound like a sewing machine under the hood

I have found the Crane rockers, properly adjusted, are as quiet or quieter than stock. You need to check your installed height on the springs though to make sure you don't hit coil bind and are at least 0.050" from it.

well if i am right, you should have a .340 intake lobe lift and .342 exhasut lobe. so if you put 1.8's on top of that you get .340x1.8=.612 and .342x1.8=.615. clearance should not be a problem ptv, but i would rethink the valve springs though.

Yes, they are on the edge. He really needs to know the installed height. If you get rid of the 918's, then you need to go with the Crane 833's with this setup. Don't go PRC or Patriots, I have heard from a couple of people the Crane 1.8's tickle one of the spring harmonics.
