Default Need help on covering a LOUD knock thanks to GM

Well yes this is another post about the infamous knock noise that GM claims is normal. Well thanks to GM I listened to them after about 6 different trips to 4 different dealers trying to inquire about the noise and just having them all say its normal and basically shoo me out the door. Well I continued to drive my car pretty hard, I got my headers put on and took it down to the track drove it and then gradually the knock got louder and louder. Well once again I inquired about it again, i mean my car sounds like a da** deisel it knocks so loud, and they STILL said it was normal. I then got other opinions and took it back to the dealer a week later and I guess they got fed up with me coming in and all they said I could do is get a new engine put in for 9,000 dollars. I am so pissed that I am selling it so I have to find an additive that will best cover up the knock so I can get good trade in value.

Well,

If you're not a troll.....

Trade it in at one of the dealerships you went to, "it's normal" remember?

You are trying to get a knocking problem fixed under warranty?

That's understandable.

Is it knocking at WOT? Is it more of a ticking.

If you do go to have the motor rebuilt or swapped, I would take mods off. Your mods = you like to abuse the car.

Yea just take it to any of the dealers that said normal......as soon as they say something about it....have a pow wow and get it fixed.....

Or drain some oil out, drive car till it gets really really loud......or stops all togeteher then pour said oil back in and have it tower to the dealer......then you can tell them how they said it was normal but your thinking they may have been wrong, "so when will it be fixed"

well now here is the problem, I took it to 3 of the 4 dealerships and they said oh well we have no documentation of you bringing the car in for a knock, so then I recognized the guy who I have talked to before and he first said he didnt remember me, and then to top it all off he switched his story and said that the knock wasnt coming from the same place. Im sorry if I am offending any gm lovers but that is ridiculous. im 8000 over my warranty so its not covered. this has officially made me hate all of gm sorry.

Don't go to dealers, write directly to GM cutomer service!
