AMS S2 flow numbers

I dropped off my heads that AMS ported to have them assembled. I was checking out what they flowed. They didn't have any low lift numbers just .500 and .600. But they are as follows.
.500....269
.600....281
This was with a 4" bore and a 2.02 valve. How does this compare with other heads out there?

flow numbers are barely part of the story, but they dont seem spectacular compared to a lot of dudes ports 1s1 heads. now, with the truck heads, id like to see some .400-.450 numbers.

A stage II 6.0l head should flow over 300 CFM at the lifts mentioned - at least at 0.600.
Yep, flow is part of the story, velocity/cross-sectional area, etc. But with a LS1/6.0l casting you should be able to maintain excellent velocity while still achieving good flow numbers.

Those heads flow the same as the ones we installed on Corys car. They make really good power, especially in the midrange. Made 418rwhpSAE with 418 torque. The car makes more torque than any other heads/cam car I have dynoed so far! (On this paticular dyno, which reads low)
BTW, those are more of a S1 head....Kenny did a basic cleanup job with a bowl blend.

Hmmm, sound a little weak then. These don't sound like all that good of a flowing head. I'm curious what the low lift numbers are. Yelvi said the valve job was decent, he said it could have been better, so he is going to play with that and back cut the intake valve. Might have him work on them a tad also.
Chris, what do your stage 2 heads flow? Shouldn't I be using those since I'm using a pretty big cam?

Scott, Kenny didn't get a chance to do any S2 heads while he was here. The cam you are using is the same one that was used in Corys.....I am sure it will make some really good power, especially if Yelvi recuts the valve job. We still have that set of 6liters out there that he is supposed to work over, we'll just have to see what he can do with them!
