Just had a new cam put in and on the way home from the shop i started getting misfires, you know, the "flashing SES" around 1500-2500 rpms??
the other strange thing that happened was that the TCS OFF light came on while driving but when i came to a stop light, and hit an idle...it would go off? It wouldnt let me turn it off at the button though? This thing sounds like a beast and just with the cam + LS6 intake, i hit 394rwhp & 422rwtq w/tuning. not bad from the previous 316/337. anybody got any suggestions????

I'm not sure about the TCS as I don't have it but I was told a flashing SES light for the misfire was common when installing large cams. I could be wrong though, just relating what I was told.

Zoo,
i've heard that too but how do i get around the SES light. here in GA they only do a computer check for emissions. (no sniffer) but if it has that light on it wont pass. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

when you get multiple miss fires the ses will blink. it is common to get some blinking speraticly(sp?) i get them after spirited driving then coming to a stop and idoling. this is a common cam thing. it should only be at no throttle or very light. next time it does it. hit the gas a hair it will go away.

so could should i use my TECH II and clear the codes? because at those rpms it stutters pretty bad until you get it above 2500.
then What about the idle surge? it only does it a little but not all the time. that freakin TCS light is bugging me to death though.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

I'm getting my car programmed to take care of that and get a better tune. I dont' know of another way to get rid of it permanetly.
