PLEASE DO NOT BEAT ON IT!! Get a longer crank bolt and pull it on with a socket and breaker bar..using the longer bolt will insure that you do not pull out any threads when first starting to pull it on..after you get it on a ways you can use your old crank bolt the breaker bar and a pipe extention for more leverage to tighten it ... torque it to 235 ft lbs and then take out the old bolt and put the new bolt in and torque to 37 ft lbs and then back to the breaker bar and entention and crank it 140 degrees and you are done with it...

That means it took you 15 minutes longer than me.. .. you can use a longer bolt or a piece of of threaded stock with a couple of thick washers and and a nut..there is a guy on ls1tech that sells those too..the least expensive way it to get a good quality longer bolt and have at it..this is not like working on the space shuttle or anything..everyone on here acks like this is some kind of mystic science project.. .. it is just a simple deal..installing a crank pulley..

I buy new OEM crank bolts for $2.77 a piece..they seem like a good deal to me seeing as I have never had one fail me yet..last time I put on a crank pulley it took me all of 5 minutes to do it.. ..

that should work..as for the comment made above bout being 15min longer... i didnt really time myself..i was just throwing a time out there.. the point is.. it made things easier.. and i didnt have to run to the autoparts store, and hardware store to fabe up stuff that worked.. i had done enough of that... i had to make multiple trips to find bolts that would work with my crane cams tool..cuz the idiots at summit decided to send it to me without the most important bolts of that tool...

the thing bout the tool i keep recomending.. is its all ready to go... just put it on.. and start turning it...no running to find the rite stuff...and i already loaned it out.. and got my money back that i paid for it...so it basically paid for itself...

Thats real good for you. Doesn't cost $2.77 a piece for the rest of us though. I like the ARP, you never have to throw it away but what ever works for ya is whats best.

I relize you are past this part. But all you needed is a small dab on the front corners. Not all the way across the bottom.

But hopefully you got it on OK.
