Why did you go with the 4.08 bore. Many think that is too much...especially for nitrous use.
I will say 452/440 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

A stroker motor should make more than that... wow thats pretty low for a 389 stroker to be making 440HP?
Buddy of mine has custom heads and cam setup on a STOCK 346CID bottom end making 348RWHP..
Just slapping a set of big heads and big cam on a stroker might not work to give you optimum results.

You might want to read it again. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
I think he is just asking what it might make.
Also in the original post, the guy is asking for rearwheel estimates so any you see are just that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I think 383LQ4SS is real close.

the LQ4 cylinder liners are actually pretty beefy @ .110. so, to punch out to 4.08 still leaves .070 wall thickness. Plus, i am filling the lower portions of the water jackets with Rock Block to further strengthen it for the nitrous use. the cam i will be using *seems* big, but, the extra cubes will definitely tame it a great deal. I was actually going to go bigger since i really want a choppy lope. the extra cubes and bigger cam needs the ported head. no, the motor is not in the car yet. still under construction. I am only done porting one head. Comp Cams is still grinding my cam. everything is supposed to come together within the next 2 weeks.

busted the motor in my 2001 C5. #7 has only 75psi compression after some hard duty. anyway, i decided on an LQ4 iron block bored out to 4.08" with a reground nitrided crank to 3.72". forged nitrous Ross pistons, SIR Eagle long rods. the secret is the Comp Cams i am having made to 236/236 .600/.600 on 112lca and the LS6 heads i am porting myself. i have a full FLP exhaust, 36# injectors, LS1Edit. anyone care to venture a guess what rwtp/rwtq #'s will be? without the nitrous, of course!

-Assuming you'll run a low compression setup due to the Nitrous
-Not sure of your head porting abilities. It's REAL easy to do more damage than good when messing with LS1/LS6 heads. There's a lot to be said for a good valve job as well.
My guess:
425 rwhp
430 rwtq
