I appoligize for not updating this earlier, our new 382 will be done by the end of this week. The target price that is mentioned above still stands, there was alot of detailed machine work to be done and I have over looked the operation since the start. I was tossing around what head cam combo to be used on our first 382. The first cam of choice that I wanted to use was the TR 224-.561 cam, then I realized I could run a 232 hyd cam and make 10-12 more RWH over the 224. Then I was thinking of going with a 242 solid roller and pick up another 20 FWH. Our most currently developed S2 2.02-1.55 LS1 853 casting at 10.5 compression heads are flowing these numbers.
.100 92
.200 162
.300 221
.400 264
.450 277
.500 288
.550 298
.561 303 TR 224 cam
.600 313 not realivant but listed.
So, as you can see, I have a few options open on this head cam combo because of how flexable the head flow numbers are and have stock sized runners, this is a problem on my mind right now as of what combo to run and retain an excellent torque line on the bottom to retain state legal emmission compliance and every day drivability. I do agree that a good cyl head/cam combo that was mentioned above would be key as in any other engine building combination. The prices on the installs and other questions along with a detailed list of what was used in this motor along with dyno sheets will be addressed when this first motor is installed and tested. I can't hardly wait myself!
Joe.

I am real sorry buddy! I was out dyno tunning Colin H. today and my mail box has been full since Fri of last week! so after I check all those messages I only have to reply to about 43 E-mails . Sorry I am hard to get a hold of, so shoot me an E-mail of an exact time it's convienient for you to call and I will make sure I am near the phone. BTW, I have no idea how to check my PM's from the forum, but I will figure it out.

I think an easier formula is - bore*bore*stroke*#of cylinders*.7854982
Works every time
