Dyno Queens in here :)
Those of you with heads/cam cars that dyno abnormally high post your 1/4 mile times here. Also post your raceweight if you have it. A4 or m6? This should make for good comaprisons. Make sure to include the mph.

These numbers say nothing. You have no DA specified, you didnt ask for gearing, you didn't ask about suspension, didn't ask what track, etc.

12.7@115, 2.2 60'

Terry: why dont you say its a trailer car. The way you sound is that you only got heads and cam. Tell the rest. No exhaust, no interior. Tell them detail so they would know that your not a street car.
4mulaJoe: Pulled 453/430 only 500 miles on it. I got custom built 370ci. Car weight at 3650 me in it. on full street trim no slick no weight reduction, car ran 12.5@120mph on 2.2 60' spinning 1st, 2nd and 3rd. And that car is my daily driver I go school, work, and even cruis at night with the t-tops off

If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again, 1/4 mile times mean jack **** for comparing combos unless you know every detail about how and where the run was made. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Re: Dyno Queens in here :)
So, according to your opinion it would be pointless to even try to compare times on the internet. That would go for dyno numbers too. I guess everybody should just ignore numbers they did not see themselves. You aren't going to get everyone to right a book about the conditions they ran there times in.

Drop my engine into a stripped out F-body with sloppy *** suspension, big non-daily driver tires on nappy looking 15" rims with 4.10 gears, drive it like you stole it (AT HRP none the less), run an 11.4. Go to the dyno, dyno 390rwhp.
OR....leave it in my car. Slammed C5 2" off the ground, 18" chrome rims with normal street tires, leave the line at 900rpms and easily shift using the stock clutch, finishing banging the rev limiter in 3rd for the last 100 feet of the track and run a 12.7. Go to the dyno, dyno 390rwhp.
ET is so much more about traction and gearing. There are no "dyno tricks" to affect numbers THAT much when using SAE correction. Dyno's seem to vary 5% between places, track times can vary by HUGE amounts just depending on the car's setup. The heads/cam combo is the least of the components unless you know the suspension, gearing, traction, how hard the driver was launching the car, if he was racing at HRP or racing in Denver, etc.
ET's mean jack squat for picking heads/cam.

Re: Dyno Queens in here :)
JmX that is silly.
I have seen dyno differences of 15RWHP on the same car within a couple of days on the same dyno. (Just due to weather changes nothing else and that is corrected!)
ET/mph when given with raceweight, DA and wind, gearing, tranny type is a MUCH more accurate way of telling if a combo is making good power.
I wont even get into the discrepancies of comparing between different dynos LOL!
