CRAP!!! Boke a oil pan bolt!!! CRAP!!! I feel so stupid. My torque wrench didnt click 
Its the back right EXTRA LONG bolt, as in starter side. Its easy to get to, but its got maybe half or more of the threads to it broken off up in there.
Heres a question that I am already feel stupid for asking... Do you think it would be okay without it...its got the horizontal bolt right under it that is still good. ?
I dont know how I would even begin to get that thing out. I would probably need to remove the pan, huh?

Not too many choices here - oil pan off and take the time to fix it or leave it and see how bad it leaks.
Otherwise you'll need a sleeve to center the drill bit, a long drill bit, and a long extractor. By the time you find/make those things it probably would be easier to remove the pan.

Just see how bad it leaks, if it's bad your gonna have to pull the pan. Now you know you don't have to torque those bolts, they just need to be hand snug in there.

Yeah, I figured that out now. I will probably need to drop it anyway to put a new gasket or RTV on it later. Are we talkin just drop the pan like before (to drill this thing out) or actually remove the pan...like pull the engine loose and jack it up?

if you drop the pan the 1/2 inch it lets you you might be able to get a set of vice grips on the nub sticking out.. that wouldnt be that big of a deal to do unless it broke off flush with the block?

Are you talking about the loooooong ones(m6?) that go up into the rear cover? Thats going to be hard to fix.. If you can get the remainder of threads in it, you may consider just putting it in with some locktite? Make sure you ahve torque specs correct. Soemone said above "ft lbs" I think that bolt is actually torqued in inch lbs.. 106 sounds right in my head.

they were 10mm, but yeah, they were the loooong ones. on the back of the oil pan. Not the horizontal bolts, but the ones that are at the corner. Half or 2/3s of the threads are still up there. No nub. I am hoping that since its on the high side of the oil pan that it wont leak...or leak much. There will be a 6.0 there in a year. If its a quart a month then I'll keep addin baby. Lets just hope it isnt a quart a minute!

I just fixed mine a month ago! Dropped the pan down and moved it over, and there was enough bolt sticking out that I got some vise grips on it. I guess I got pretty lucky.
So, after I scowered the garage to find anything that would work I decided to just hang it up until the hardware opens.

Did the same exact thing, still driving. Just a little seepage, which is to say the oil pan is a little wet. Other than that life is good; gonna leave it. Basically I'm too lazy to fix it.

i did that too..just said F-it. Left it broken for the last 30k+ miles. It never leaked, but that back corner seeped more than the rest of the spots on the pan. A lot built up on the starter.
