Default 224/224 110lsa 106icl cam dyno results, VERY HAPPY

thought the car was running better with open headers and I think I was right.

These numbers are uncorrected:
First pull it made 409/413
Second pull it made 415/416

Corrected:
398.7/399.5
405.0/406.2

This was with open hooker long tubes, fast torys ram air, slp maf sensor, shaner s2 tb, ls6 intake (car is an 01), direct flow lid (tesas speed is on the way), tuning by me with ls1 edit, asp pulley, and 3.42s spinning 17x11 315 nittos. I am extremely happy. They did not have a wide band but I don't think I can hope for much more.

The cam makes more torque then hp everywhere, it couldn't be a better cam for 3.42s. At 2800 or so it is at 380+ torque and around 360 hp. Power peaks around 5800-6000 and drops off at around 6400. Guess it pays off to try something new every now and then. Wooohooo. Now if I could only get the thing down the track, a soon to be ordered star spec stage 3 clutch will help I think along with a new slave cylinder.

Car is an m6.

WOW those results are pretty stout. I think it you retarded(2-3 degrees) that thing you would pick up a few hp up top at the expense of some low end grunt. Are you still running stock cylinder heads? Those are some very imprssive numbers, I was actually considering a 224/224 106lsa. I was thinking with the small duration the tight lobe seperation wont be too bad, on a big cam that adds up very quickly. Nonetheless stout numbers. Post a dyno graph if you can.

Yes, that is on stock heads. I will probably retard the cam when I get heads and gears but until then it will stay as is because the area under the curve is aweseome and I love having this kind of low end grunt.

Also, I will try to get to my pops scanner and see if we can get the graph up. Nothing tells the truth like the graph.

With that M6 and 3.42 gears you will lose 60' if you retard that cam. Keep it where it is. 106 ICL is ideal for those manuals and street gears. I bet that 110 LSA sounds good too! Nice and loppy? I want that cam in mine!

Did you check piston to valve clearance? How much clearance do you have on intake and exhaust? Might get a little tight with 110 LSA, that much advance and lift.

No I didn't check p to v clearance but I haven't had any problems yet.

sweet numbers man i got the same cam, headers, and all the same mods i put 400 hp to the ground with full exhaust and 400 tq this cam lopes hard but from 2500-6800 i never dropped below 355 torque. *** warning*** i was running 13% lean with stock injectors i swapped out to SVO #30 lbs injectors and got a big difference im at 5% rich @ 65% duty
"ls1 edit tuning saved my ***"
hey i also ran a 12.6 @ 113 w/3.73 my 60ft times were 1.99 on street tires 315's ive seen 12.2 @ 118 with that cam

Thanks for the input. What was your raceweight and gear setup on that 118mph run? I have also done ls1 edit tuning but have not been able to get on a wideband to see actual air fuel numbers.

Sweet setup. I like the #s on this cam.

Did you go with this cam because you were worried about revving the stock block to 6800 rpm? It seems that the peak is low enough that you don't have to shift the thing at 6800 rpm to get the most out of it...which is something I don't like about the other 400+ rwhp cams. I don't think the stock block likes rpms much at all..I am looking for a reliable but potent setup, and this cam looks like it could do well in such a setup.

Really, how bad is the lope? Emissions?

01sscamaro, You had the same comments on the ASA cam install thread from yesterday. Which cam are you refering to here, the 224/224 @110, or the ASA 226/236 @110.
