Default valvetrain questions

I'm wanting to add better springs, retainers, pushrods, rocker arms. no cam yet though. i want to keep this a bolt on only car until i get the money to do what i want. i want a complete 100% no maintance valvetrain unlike my sbc 3rd gen. I want to use a 1.8 ratio rocker arm.
Any info would be great.
Thanks!!!

Better springs that will last a long time: PAC 1518's. Crane makes a 1.8 rocker kit that comes with the rest of the parts. Too bad it wasn't next spring, I will have a set of 1.8's with less than 1,000 miles on them for sale. Actually, I have the rockers and polly locks but not the guide plates, studs, and pushrods as they are on the car right now with a set of Crane 1.7 rockers.

And those are non-adj. 0 maintance? any modding the heads to fit those springs?
what length pushrods should i use? will using a longer than stock pushrod increase the lift?

they are adjustable, make sure you follow there rocker adjustment procedure correctly, then set them and forget them. the pushrods come in the rocker kit. 7.250 is the pushrod length to be exact. if you buy the stuff from vettenuts, i can get you the rest of the components, if u want. there dual springs like i mentioned, will need there matching retainers. heres a list man, of what you will need: Crane 1.8 quick lift rocker kit: #144759-16 (rockers, studs, guideplates, pushrods, polylocks)
Crane dual valve springs: #144832-16 or #144833-16(better spring and with a little more pressure) (either one should be used with there kit.) "some might disagree, though."
Crane steel retainers: #144944-16 / titanium #144661-16 (either one is needed with there dual valve springs.)
Crane machined steel valve locks: #99108-1 (not needed, but recommended)
hope this helps.

for a bit more cash u should look into the jesel sportsman series
rocker arms, i wont use anything else but jesel on my own projects
have some for the motor im building right now, with 1.75 ratio
double gold pp springs with ti retainers for valvesprings
and trick flow .080 wall 7.350 pr's
if i cant use jesel then i will stick with stock. not a fan of crane, hs, etc.

shaftmount rockers would be way overkill in this build, but point taken.
