As far as the best heads goes, I believe it is whatever fits your build the best. All the companies listed about are good cylinder heads. Do the research and find what best fits you.

We can sit here all day long and throw bench numbers at you, but I know as a company we don't believe in bench racing and/or dyno racing. Look at results, look at what similar cars may have and what they are running.

BTW Trick Flow for the win!!!

First off the question should be what heads perform the best...meaning what gains do the heads give you over stock unported heads. Best is a too planket term. I looked in the fastest heads/cam n/a section an see what heads that perform the best....it seems like in the 10's and low 11's ported GM castings put up a good fight and less cost. Also dont just look at what the highest flow numbers are. Without the proper setup you might never even use 300+ cfm. I know cars that only flows 260cfm and still ran 11.20's to 11.30's.

Id like to see afr and tfs both on the same stock lsx (exactly the same) on an engine dyno and i would get the one that puts down more hp/tq. Seems from reading tfs redesigned the spark plug location to get better mid lift, did afr? Yes, vengeance is running a lot of tfs heads and making great numbers. It will be a while before i can buy heads for my z06, but right now its 50% tfs and 50% afr as for my decision. This is going on a 346, fm13, fast 92/92, vararam. ud pulley, etc. as my daily driver.

currently...in the cath. port market. Nothing has touched the dart "casting"...

you just have to get the right person to work on it.

Those Darts cant be any good, they dont even have peak numbers as good as the ported 5.3 heads.

Default Etp

I say the ETP head because the decks are .800 thick and they use a low silicon alloy aluminum! = STRONG!

Maybe not out of the box..... But AFD knows what he is talking about Go back to post # 53. And you have to start with the 225's not the smaller runner Dart head.

you can not judge a head by flow #s alone..it's kind of like picking a cam based on specs @ .050 lift..there's a lot more to a head than flow#s that are posted just to make a buck...
my picks would be AFR and the Dart 225s..

AFR are the best out there but you always have to remember that you get what you pay for so that's why there so high. But I got PRC's at the moment but there not installed yet.........
