Default which gasket or mill the head?

OK my mods are in my sig. I have yella terra stealth rockers on the way and AFR 205 mongoose heads with the 66 cc chambers on the way. Need good advice on what if any mods to the heads 1. leave it like it is with a stock gasket 2. thinner gasket and which one to bump compression 3. mill the heads and how much, flat or angle.
Next question if I do any of this are the stock injectors ok ot should I go to a 28 oem or 30# red top ford or some other type?

Wow, very nice setup you are building. I would mill and use thinner gasket. I would also send a PM directly to Tony Mamo and get his input, he is always willing to provide input and I bet he would love to provide some guidance on your setup.

Using the PianoProdigy DCR calculator, the standard 66cc combustion chamber with a .040" thick gasket and a nominal .007 positive deck clearance, you cam installed on a 110.5 Intake Center Line gives a static compression of 10.78:1 and a dynamic compression of 8.49:1. Depending on the fuel quality you have available, you might leave them unmilled for 91 octane fuel. If you have 93 octane available, you could mill as much as .018, increasing the SCR to 11.2:1 and the DCR to 8.82:1.

Also, if your cam is installed advanced, you may not need any milling at all. With unmilled heads and the same .040" gaskets, but advanced 4 degrees, your DCR jumps up to 8.76:1.

vettenuts also made an excellent suggestion. Your setup should be rather close to Tony's tried and true package. Your cam selection is within 2 degrees intake and exhaust, with an LSA that falls very close to Patrick G's torque cam. Tony would be able to tell you exactly how to proceed.

Good luck!

Thanks. The cam has 4 degrees built in. 93 octane is always available too.

I'd install them without milling then, and use the .040 thick gasket.

For max performance (and fuel economy) and to generally get the most from the install, you need to mill the heads and run the thinner .040 gasket.

I would recommend milling them to 62 cc's....about a .024 shave off the deck.
