NGK TR6 on a N/A engine and no N20...
Would I gap them the recommended gap of .060 or go a bit smaller, say .050?
Most of the "old timers" have been doing it for years to combat knock... especially in the summer months.
Good luck.
Only thing I see as a potential problem is gapping them to .050. I know I have read somewhere that you shouldnt change the preset gap more than +/- .010 (The TR6's come pre gapped to .035)
Am I wrong in that belief?
Some say you lose NA power with 6's, but if not gapped right you will with any plug. I run them, yeah N2O also, but normal driving is on the 6's and no problems, i even run a tighter gap .038".
Have fun, Charlie.

So these plugs do help keep detonation away.
They don't last long though, I only got 13k out of them before they fouled up good.
BTW: Is there any ill effects to leaving a plug in too long even if it's not knocking or misifiring? i.e. harder to get back out. I hope I don't break one off in there when I go to remove them. Thanks.
With my blown application my plugs are gapped at .035.
