Default prc 5.3 head cam selection

Hey guys im looking at buying the 2.5 prc 5.3 heads from tsp.im not really 100% sure on what cam to get there are so many i no the ms3 is to big for street/strip play mainly street (honda killer)... i mean im getting the ls6 oil pump, timing chain and all. im looking at the 233/239 but is that to big should i go with the 228r or torquer v.2. my supporting mods are aps crank and alt pully. fast 90/90, american racing headers with cats. this spring its getting a moser 9 with 4.11's and electric water pump i mean i would really like to have an 11 second car with some where around 440rwhp to 450rwhp.... please chim in

Dont you need to flycut and do work to make ms4 work with stock bore? Ls6 heads are more expensive right? 2.5 5.3 heads outflow ls6 heads dont they?

With those mods i wouldnt go with 228, id go with ms3 or at least 23x/23x. JMO

no they do not need any flycutting if you go with ls6 stg one heads and ms4.. as long as the heads you buy have stock valve size in them... they will clear... those are the heads i am currently swapping onto my car.. with an ms4..
they are the same price... within like 50 bucks.. i paid 1000 for mine without springs brand new from TSP.. prcs..
no ls6 heads outflow the 5.3l heads... the 5.3l heads bump compression down just a LITTLE bit, nothing you will notice.. you will notice the difference though pof the lfow with that big of a cam.. one reason TSP talks the 5.3s up so much is that they make a LOT more money off selling those heads than they do sellng ls6 heads...... ls6 heads are better with an ms3 or 4..

i had a friend with the ls56 heads ms4 cam 410s 90/90 and a 4000 stall on a dyno that was a little stingy... he dynoed 425/423.. those are some DAMN impressice numbers....

i did 385/338 on a dyno that read about 20 low on hp and tq... that was no heads through a ported 90/90 410s 4000 stall...

i should pick up 40rwhp with the ls6 heads..

Stage 1.0 Ls6 outflow stage 2.5 5.3L? Not according to thier website. I think they are about 5cfm higher? Even with 5-6 cc smaller runners.

Torquer V3 is a great cam with those heads IMO. #s and mods in sig. That was through a Catted Y pipe and a GMMG. Have switched exhaust setups and factory clutch starting giving out after 2nd pull.
