With Ebay, most of the items are not produced here and are also produced in mass quantity, leaving them room to mark up their goods as well but staying very cheap with the price. The same could be asked of you. Why did you choose to buy AFR heads? Why not just use a set of cheap hand/home ported 5.3s that you find also on ebay all the time for cheap?

well..... to answer your question about the AFR's. I got them for Distributor Cost

Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought them either... Not saying they aren't phenominal heads. Just one of many parts made for our cars that I believe are way overpriced.

I'm just bitching now... ignore me...

but seriously... make some "inexpensive" decent valve covers!!!

Damn, that is a cool looking paint. Looks like a more exotic coating than a spray paint.

Coming from a perimeter bolt owner I was going to say that those posts on the back are a pain in the ***.

I finally ordered a set of these. I was informed that these are the same covers as used on the LSA. The only difference is that the LS7 being a dry sump engine has a propriety oil cap. The LSA being a wet sump like our other LS engines has a normal cap. Plus the LSA has a filler tube.

GMPP is going to offer LSX valve covers with coil mounting in the spring. No pictures yet, but we will finally have covers for LS engines (it took them long-enough).

Figured I would make a quick update on this since I have had a few PMs regarding the LS9 Covers, and kind of pick up where John left off.

Here is current pricing on the LS9 Valve Cover Conversion:
RH & LH Valve Covers - $132.49 each (They come will 3 coils per side)
Oil Filler Cap & O-Ring - $7.49
2 Coils - $68.75 each ($137.50)
4 Bolts - $3.05 each ($12.20)
RH & LH Coil Harness - $29.49 each ($58.98)

$481.15 + shipping with Coils/Harnesses. (LS1 Conversion)
$272.47 + shipping without Coils/Harnesses.
$463.94 + shipping with 3 Covers, Filler Cap, & Harnesses (LS1 Conversion)
$404.96 + ^ w/o Harnesses

LS1 Coils/Harness will not fit. LS2/3/7/9/Truck will.
Must change to LS9 Oil Fill Cap.

I have these in stock ready to ship!!

Yea but don't buy two coils and bolts separately. Just buy a third valve cover. You'll save money and could possibly sell the left over coil and cover for a profit.
