Default LS1 to LS3 swap, couple questions

I'm putting an LS3 in my 1999 Pontiac Trans Am.
I'm down to just a couple details.
I didn't see a MAP sensor on my LS3 intake, what do I buy and where is it located?
Also, what MAF sensor would be good, the engine is a stroker 416 with WCCH heads and a big cam, ect ect.
Thanks

edit: not using MAF, only IAT (race only). Still working on MAP, pics below. Also questions about MAP sensor ext. harness (links to pics)

Is the map sensor located in the same place on the LS3 intake as my old LS6 intake?

Thanks for the mass air info.

No, LS3 MAP sensor is located near the front of the intake vs. the rear for LS1/2/6's.

you will need an extension/adapter to make the MAP sensor fit to the wiring harness and reach to the front of the LS3 intake

Lingenfelter makes an extension harness for it.

Good luck with the swap sounds like it should be a blast!

I do, purchased it through SDPC. They said it will work perfectly wit my NW 92mm TB.
Thanks for the advice on the rubber fuel line.
I've read and printed all the LS1 to LS3 conversion threads and hope I have everything I need, but I am sure something will be missing.
Especially since it has been 4 1/2 months since we took the LS1 out!

I've printed threads, read 3 different build threads and I still am foggy on the Crank sensor. I have the one from my LS1, does it go in the same location as it was in the LS1 into the LS3?
I have purchased a cam sensor extension harness, so I imagine the cam sensor is up front and I just plug into that and can toss my LS1 cam sensor?
Sorry I am sure this is old hat to you guys, but this swap is taking forever and I forgot more than I have learned.

Crank Sensor depends on if it's 24X or 58X. The Cam Sensor is a Gray sensor, different from the LS1. As long as you have the little harness on the cover the Cam Sensor wiring in the harness will plug directly in without swapping wires around.

Do you have the correct Valley Cover? Have you accounted for the Knock Sensors?

It's 24x, I started with a bare block from SDPC and built it from there.
So maybe it is in the same place as the LS1 crank sensor? See this pic below, image #22:

I do have the harness on the front cover, I will plug into that, thanks.
I do have the correct valley cover, I purchased that along with the LS3 intake together.
Knock sensors, yes, the block is drilled and tapped and I have the harness to put them on both sides of the block.
Thanks

Yes, I am. Do I need to do this to back of my LS3 intake:

http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../photo_15.html

Run a hose up to the front of my intake like this:

http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../photo_33.html

Or, just put the map in the same place as the picture above shows and plug it in?

One more thing, my MAP sensor extension is this one:

http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.a...2-MSEH&eq=&Tp=

I now notice it says it's for LS2 applications - will it still work with what I'm doing here?

Thanks
