Sure is pretty! I too would be interested in what sort of gains it makes.
If nothing else seeing that intake upon opening your hood, will scare the crap out of any potential competitors...

This is going in my 65' nova. Its a pro touring themed street car on street tires with big brakes, doubt I ll win many races, but after ditching my turbo set up half way thru, I feel inadequate already! Trying to make some good hp on NA set up. Proly should have went with a tall deck rhs and solid roller and really pushed, but this will do.

My engine builder,Mike@MCP, is very particular. I asked the same question. He said 305s would be better for something bigger than a 427ci. He basically said the 285s will produce the intake velocity he s looking for. I dunno, but i do trust him as i dont feel there were any other factors in the decision.

Ok makes sense. Mine is a high compression 440 on spray and I was torn between the 285's and the 305's I bought. The wait was brutal on my heads too but i'm hoping it was worth it!??

Thanks! I ll try n update it as more parts show up.
I defly wanted the 305s thinkn bigger is better, this is how i got talked into staying with only 427ci too. I hope its good enough! We were originally thinkn a 460ci tall deck with a serious solid roller top end. I just couldnt see spending 10k more for another 70-80hp. It gets real expensive NA!

Excellent! I was hoping it was a no brainer n my engine guy wasnt a mad scientist. He s pretty smart, n i trust what he says. We hang out alot n you should see the expensive azz builds he works on...latest one was a 60k destroked 9800 rpm motor. I ve never seen an 8500$ crankshaft til now. It had 1 of a kind everything,Mast PDX heads, complete jesel top end, etc. Wish i knew more. Im still learning
