Me and Speedo went over and checked it out today again and seen some more great options. Not only can you change the snout from 78mm to 90mm you also can adjust the mounting of the injector size for all the different injector and fuelrail options. Also the Aussie told us that the bottom of the intake is made to fit like stock so the bolts for the valleycover have plenty of room for the stock hardware, on the Fast you have to change all this.Another thing like stated above was that there are universal map sensor locations with good mounting in which you don't need to buy an extra wire harness. These guys had everything covered on this thing so they should do ok even if it's of comparable results. I like it!! Traver

Large companies actually do this quite a lot. Look at the Edelbrock LT1 / LT4 intakes they just came out with. I think they made 4hp over a stock intake.

Truthfully, I wouldn't really care if it came up a couple hp short of a ported FAST 90. If I can save $400 it would be well worth it for me. That is as long as it out performs the L76 intake in my case.

Exactly, it seems like every year at SEMA someone new is releasing a new ls1/ls6 intake and only a FAST is better that the ls6. We've got the PP Typhoon, the Lingenfelter, the BBK manifold, and the Weiand. All of these came onto the market are were simply rebadged ls6 intakes. None of them made any substantial power over the stock ls6 intake.

Like I said, I'll beleive it when I see it multiple times.

the intake is a nice piece and will force fast to plummet the price and finally remove the premiums they hold on the 90mm fast intakes
but a fi or bigger than stock cubes stroker motor a single plane with a
proper elbow plenum is my poison.
it should be a nice piece for a bolt ons/h/c/i car
not sure about this intake with hi flow heads, stroker motors.
imo that intake will kill a /400+ci l92 version engine

My L92 intake make power up to 6200.. Then what's the point of the aftermarket one?

I was hoping they'd break the L92 power band issue...

I will volunteer to be the test mule for strokers. My 402 would look great with that, and I could dyno it the day FedX drops it off...

That's kinda my concern, running 402ci vs stock and shifting at 7100.... it kinda worries me it will run out of steam worse then a fast does. I KNOW that with an intake that would outflow the fast up top I could make another 15 to 20 hp, butI just haven't found the extra $ to buy a sheetmetal or a single plane and have it ported at this point.

****, if it only pulls to 6k with the L92 version ill keep rocking the L76, my cam needs more rpms but the L76 holds the power to 6300rpms, i need an intake that wont fall off like the L76

Yeah I talked to Peter Starr at SEMA. They will be selling two versions, one is cathedral port, the other is rectangle port. They are shooting for a $650 price point. Intake will probably be avaiable not only in gloss black, but a silver finish. They might consider red or orange if the interest was there, like if you guys were interested.

I hear ya on that one, my ET 240 headed 402 makes power to 7400 before it falls off with an unported fast 90... I was hoping that I could keep that style intake and not go to a single plane, but if this thing falls off like stated I guess I have no choice, that or sheet metal, but spending 3000 on an intake and a big 100 mm TB is just not in the picture at this point. A single plane would be nice, but putting an elbow on kills that so a 4150 tb is the only way to go on that really, so I have to go to sd tuning, etc.etc.etc.

Be nice to have an intake we can bolt on that will feed 400+ ci to 8000 rpm, but maybe it's just not possible with that design, I dunno.

Being a solid intake I could see it holding up better to boost. Pretty much like a better flowing LS6.

I might get an early production one, so if I do I'll make sure we dyno it on at least one car, back to back comparo.

Hey Guys, I had a nice long look at this yesterday at the convention center. They were claiming 30+HP Better then an LS6 intake on a Modified 5.7L. The graph dyno graph they showed me was indeed 30HP stonger in the midrange and fell off to about 5-10 stronger by 6300rpm. The intake looks good and has some nice features. Its supposed to hit the shelfs in March and retail near $650 From what I was told. I suggested they add Nitrous provisions before final production.

Enjoy.
