Default LS2 Rod replacment

Putting new rods into an LS2 motor due to a spun bearing. The crank will need to be machined... What aftermarket rods anyone recommend? this is just going to be a mild 224 cam build. I would like something as strong or stronger than stock and has a good price point.

Callies compstar, or maybe K1 or Eagle depending on your budget. All those can be had for under $600 (under $500 for the Eagles) and are all stronger than stock and will be more than ok for the mild build you're doing.

How much power are you wanting to make now?

SCAT I beams are probably the best bang for the buck. They're less than $350.

should be around 410 or so to the rear wheels, at least that's the current plan. might be spraying it later so i need the rods to stand up to that

A stock con rod with an ARP bolt upgrade will work plenty fine for now. An aftermarket H-beam style rods are getting cheaper and would be a good long term investment as well. But not to many people will go that route without putting a better piston/ring package on at the same time to.

new ARP bolts are for sure as well as new piston rings. if i change rods do i need new pistons? or as long as i use stock length rods can i reuse my stock pistons?

Before ordering just rods, make sure the piston pin size is correct. Most aftermarket rods will have a different size from stock.

Callies Compstar p/n CSC6100DS6A2AH

stock length 6.100 (basically), stock pin size
I used these on a stock crank LS2 and very happy. $436 if you call Callies direct, these are listed as 'overstock' so the price is good
