AFR 205s Anything worth upgrading to beyond them?
I have to pull my heads to replace a lifter and was wondering if there is any other heads that I might gain from while I have the 205s pulled?
Let me know what you think. My Sig has my current mods in it.
Thanks for your help.

There are many heads out there that will benefit your setup over the 20s, that's for sure.
Only thing is do you want to spend the money on them?
I vote for the new PRC 227 casting, or maybe the AFR 230 V2.
Heck, even AFR/TFS 225s/215s will probably make more power. As will a good set of ported L92s.

DO you think I'll gain HP from the 205s if I go to the 230v2? I know i'll end up spending more money, but I think that my 205s are still worth some bucks... So the difference my only be a little cost...

The car is fast enough now, but I just added 20" Z06 sized tires in my widebody conversion. I just want to make up for lost ponies. I think those tire weight 50lbs more per corner. (360 Mesh 8s)

how much horsepower are you looking to gain....I think you have a pretty good street set up as it sits since your cam, in my opinion, is a bit on the small side. If you're willing to put the money into getting new heads, I would look into getting a new cam to actually make a truly noticeable power gain.

I don't want to do a cam in the short term, it was a lot of work for me to tear up that front end. I wish I would have put a 2 piece chain cover in. That would make it a little easier.
I'd like to make 500rwhp some day NA. I know the cam has to go for that to happen.

one option to look at is to send the heads back to AFR to get them "Mamofied",and open the chambers up to the 4" bore.Tony could tell you for sure about the pros or cons of doing that,as well if it would be cost effective compared to just buying another set of heads.

I think the PRC 227 head would be a great option especially with a camshaft upgrade at the same time. Tell us about your current setup, what cc is your chambers currently? 59cc??

Yeah, I know I went a little small on the cam. I was a little worried it would be to loby. I underestimated how much I love it. Plus didn't realize how much could be tuned out of it.

^^^ x2 ... only because I am running TFS CNC 215's and making good power. They flow very well.
I have actually been seriously thinking about this ^^^, but right now I am concentrating on my suspension to get it to hook.
