Spinmonster cam L92

Spinmonster cam L92
Hey, I picked up a complete L92 engine for cheap and am putting it in my 04 cts-v with 4.10 rear. The engine will be Stock on the inside, no head milling, etc. I have someone local who has the tool to swap reluctor rings.
I was doing a lot of reading this weekend and have pretty much made my mind up to order the spinmonster spec cam 230xfi/234xer .631/.600 114+2.
What's your opinions on this cam in a heavy car? I'd like to hit as close to 500whp as possible. I daily drive this thing to work in the summer and the spinmonster cam seems to be as tame as I have found for the goals I'm looking for.
The other problem is where do I find this cam? I found it on one site but it's listed as 230/234 .612/.598 114
I appreciate any opinions and recommendations you guys have.

Your duration on that cam is really close like it's spec for cathedral heads instead of L92 rectangular port heads. I personally think you need more duration of the exhaust side of the cam....
L92 heads have a poor intake/exhaust ratio that's why they need more in the exhaust side of the cam to help balance that deal there out. Just a example here 230/242 seems more like a L92 spec cam.

Well I'm running a 229/244 cam in my car. It's alright..... I personally which I kinda went smaller than I did to bring in the power band earlier if that makes any sense. I'm running LS3 heads.... 4th gen Camaro. By you being heavier you might really need to talk to cam guru. I can't tell you how BIG of a ROLE the cam makes in these motors. The cam either makes or breaks the whole combination.....

Get with Kip @ CAMMOTION, or Pat G or Martin @ Tick for a custom cam.
It is money well spent! My .02, 226/234 .610"/.590 114+3. 8* exhaust
Split good enough if primary concern drivability, not peak HP beyond
6K RPM. Advice is worth what you paid for.

Spinmonster Cam is proven when used with 11:1cr and ported exhaust ports. The L92 compression and stock heads would not be optimal with this cam.
Theres a Pat G built somewhere in the dyno section with a Comp 223-231, 610-617, i think a 113 lsa that made good power and torque. Rick Crawford Racing offers similar cams specs. Katech has a torquer 2 cam (i think thats its called, also with similar cam specs).
With ported heads, you can get away with up to a 8 degree split. On stock heads, you need at least 8-15 degree split.
