Default gains from 216/220 .560 on 114 on otherwise stock ls2

i have a stock ls2 from a 2007 trailblazer ss on my engine stand with 40k on it

its going into a 2006 envoy xl denali with a locked up 5.3

(i will be using a lingenfelter 58x-24x- box to get it to run on the e40 pcm)

the question is what kind of gains could be had from installing a 216/220 .560/.560 on 114 cam into this motor

the only other mods will be a trailblazer i6 torque converter and efans

this will be a daily driver

i already own the cam but it could be put in a 5.3 i have laying around

i am assuming that with a aftermarket cam this small it will probably have a near stock idle (properly tuned)

i will either be running it with the stock ls2 cam or the aftermarket

is it worth it?

hp gains vs mileage losses?

Millage should improve will be nearly stock in use and sound but should increase at list 30 hp more if you get a hold of some ls7 exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters available used dirt cheap and should bolt rite up.

Ls7 intake only fits ls7 but ls3 intake will fit when ever you use ls3 type heads.

I would estimate that cam to add around 25rwhp over your stock LS2 cam.

Yes sir. Our 220R cam will add around 30rwhp. Right now you can purchase the cam, springs, and pushrods for $599+ shipping.

I just ordered your 224R 112LSA for my 2007 SS Trailblazer that is my Daily Driver. I have a thread outlining the upgrades and changes I'm making to it.

I can't wait to start tearing it down tomorrow. The Black Friday Sale was Awesome!!

just an update

went with the 216/220 cam

engine installed and been driving it and i am happy with my choice

nice mild cam (you can hear it at idle) extremely driveable and pulls pretty good (not as good as my e85 turbo 4.8 ls wrangler @19psi but it makes for a nice truck i wouldn't hesitate hopping in and heading on a long trip

in town gas mileage is the standard tbss stuff (12 or so)
havent had it on the highway yet

my summer mileage may improve as i currently have snow tires on all 4 corners and they seem to drop the mpg
