Yeah....still got parts and ties...dude gotta answer..no matter the state or country. $ or build which I've got people..so $. Oh I got him....Trust me! I just hate the fact that of all the people...some you take lightly..others just get it done and be gone. I'm the second.. I'll fight with you and for you. Dog bites the owner? Guys, been considering a different direction yet again with my 408.
I have been in contact with Mamo once again and the LS7 route spoken about earlier is just too expensive with the new block etc.
It's more feasible for now to fully optimise my 408.
Tony has a new 240CC cathedral head with 2.130 valves and a 1.600 exhaust which he wants to sell me.
It's based on his famous 235CC head but just refined even further.
There is an optional 1.630 exhaust valve designed for boost and nitrous and I am told this will also make more power NA but specific camshaft timing will be needed to achieve this.
A narrower split is my assumption.
Fast 102 or MSD?
I re read Tony's thread about which one is better.
To cut a long story short his FAST 102 ported is stronger in torque and hp off idle to about 6500rpm.
His ported MSD makes less peak torque but more peak hp. About 13hp at 7300rpm.
Will want to be shifted at 7500rpm vs about 7000rpm for the FAST.
Would love to read some opinions here.

I think it's a great idea optimizing the build you have. We always get caught up on going bigger and better. With the right components and hands in the recipe, a 408 can scream pretty hardcore. Those Mamo heads seem like a nice setup for your new goals too. If it doesn't break the bank I'd go with the bigger exhaust valve. I know the valve cost goes up pretty quickly with increased size. I like rpm so I'd run the MSD but it really depends on your ultimate goals. Everything needs to match well. It's a good conversation to have with whoever specs your cam. I usually just have Mamo spec mine with Darth's help.
