i had a 242/250 113lsa +4 at one stage.
With the new solid roller, I have a 52 ivc and 64 Evo on my 408 for a 7500rpm red line. Ivo and evc 12 and 8.
I also read a very interesting article about torque.
The smaller the split the more torque you make as well as getting better under the curve power when it comes to NA applications.
Pat G and Ed Curtis seem to spec their cams this way.
I can see this. Mine is 246/262 lost so 240/256 hyd and has a very wide power band. To ride really

Also, let's look back at the 704 HP Darin motor for a second:

If I pull off 680, figuring I will have smaller cam, plastic intake, smaller exhaust, I'll be thrilled. This same build made 680 with Greg Good heads and a sheet metal intake. So take all of that stuff with Greg Good heads, it made 680. Which is sensational.

My point is this -- if I get similar numbers, why should I think the intake is holding it back?
get to a track with close to zero Density altitude and you'll be in 9s.
the new combination just makes it easy 9s

I'm not so sure. The humidity was so low in the valley, it might be a wash. But I do agree the new combo will make it easier to get into the nines.

similar hp numbers yea darth, but ur goona be a bare minimum 30 if not 40 more average torque across the board until 5800ish tho when the shorter runners begin to catch up. so no darth, ur numbers will be higher than ur example

Looks like you had too much exhaust duration.

Get your tissues ready...... Parts **** Ahoy!!! When you see the 69.2cc, I have 2.5 CC domes on the pistons. Would have been milled to 66.7 cc without the domes. Typically you see people think in 1.0 or 0.5 cc increments. Tony obviously put a lot of thought into hitting our CR target as closely as possible.

Heads as received. no indication of the goodness in store other than the Mamo Motorsports logo

I tried to get it to show up, but if you know where to look you can see the hardened tips on the Titanium valves. I'm waiting for confirmation from Tony, but it appears as though I will not need lash caps

I took this picture focusing more on the tool marks. The flash makes them look pronounced, but to the touch, they are very subtle. Smoother than if the surface were knurled, if that makes any sense.

Combustion chambers. The pics do not show the intake valves very well. In person, they are enormous

AA Battery for a size reference. Valves are massive.

You can almost see the entire valve from the top of the port. Line of sight on these is amazing. Far better than what I had on the 220' cathedral heads, and I was impressed by those. You also can see the short side radius is much gentler than the cathedrals.

My plan is a two-day blitz monday and tuesday next week. If I can get all the way to ordering pushrods, I'll be stoked. if I'm REALLY lucky (doubtful), I'll be able to reuse the current ones. Depends if there's enough in shimming up the rockers and smaller cam base circle to eat up the extra pushrod length from running shorter lifters on the current cam. We will see.

I know this is ur second set, but both of my mamo heads had little metal fragments still attatched to the threads of the rocker arm bolts that go inside the chambers. so I chased them a few times and they fell off......not sure if u get what I'm talking about

FED had the same. Made us cringe thinking about people who slap stuff together. They appear ready to bolt on washed and everything.
