8.9s NA or Bust
Rk!!! I watched 2 min of CJRC latest youtube vid and they did mention your car, that it was in progress and a pretty sweet setup. I'ma rooting for you buddy.
I feel personally vested in 8.9s or bust. I wanna see more pics of the car

I’m back and forth with the idea. The MSD is very streetable and it drives easy. I could easily put a CID on it, throw a big cam at it, and put down over 700 wheel, but I’d give up the cruisability it has which is fun, for an occasional WOT blast that would likely drive terrible. I’d like to leave the cam alone, and just see what the CID and the DBW TB does for it, but it’s an awful expensive experiment. The TB is north of $3k alone. If it was a race car, this would have happened long ago, but it’s just a cruiser.
I’ll make sure that the plastic MSD doesn’t end up in an ocean.

CID and 112/115mm Dbw TB 👍 keep the same cam.
🤔 They don't list the CFM for the Kong nor Nick Williams 115mm TB🖕 them.
But, the Whipple 109 mm is rated at 1750 CFM.....
Guesstimation = 2000cfm

I threw the holley 105mm TB on my LS3 headed 402" stroker when I did the Holley EFI. This is the one with the "low rpm taper" and everything. At 45-50% tps it is basically WOT. I feel like I'm only using about 20% of the fuel injection table since my MAP increases so rapidly and it makes it tough to be anything but full throttle everywhere. DBW idle tuning in my experience so far is way nicer than tuning a cable TB with the IAC stepper motor.
Is there a good progressive linkage option for these big throttle bodies? A 112/115 must be even worse. My experience kind of makes me want to scrap the terminator, get a termi x max and a DBW throttle for something I actually want to drive on the street. Just a lot of money to get back to where I was before with the factory ecu.

Yeah that's a Known Problem .....you could only ask to Soften the initial throttle response with going to a Larger TB.. because part throttle is Too much throttle With a Single Blade Larger TB.
You could try to Broaden the Initial hit but.......
Reasoning Behind the 4 hole TB. Part Throttle is only 2 blades. But there's got to be a Common Ground and Not Having to go All out with a $3ooo
4- hole TB.
105mm Dbw would be okay.... Better line of Sight etc...Guys are always saying Tq....but if 550+ isn't enough how much more does one Need and how Heavy is it. Cam it and Get as Much as Possible IN.
That's the End Game on Any Build.

The MBE Small Bore Ls7 head is a Brodix castings...+ Raised Runners and Flows 390's + cfm on a .065 test Bore. Head is good with a 418 to 8k on Rpm...cost is $4k+. There's no list nor Mention of a MBE bigger Bore using the same base Head.
But I can Guarantee! They have one Available.
There a Great Group with Matt...thing is there's Others Who just as well. Just pick your casting and Porter....Chris Frank has Done more LS casting that differ from anyone. Brodix,All Pro, CID, etc.....port 1 make & save the program....

Me Stealing a Port from TFS and placing in into a Brodix castings cost the Same as MBE Small Bore head and both would flow 390's...🖕 It just buy TFS heads add the Hand job change exhaust seats......same small bore.
WCCH sells a Brodix Small bore casting

So it looks like the chassis shop doesn’t want to work on the car, so after wasting a year waiting on them I’m gonna go pick the car up. Within the last week somebody posted 2001 Camaro SS that is already caged 25.3 and front half, I’m going to try and get that car and move on. I'll just swap over what I want and sell the black car as a roller. I'm thinking this is the fasted was into a car.

I think what it is, they tired to hire someone and the guy put a 10 point cage in the car, they had to cut it all back out. This is his way of saying that he’s gonna loose his *** and it’s better to have me pick it up. I shouldn’t be the one that pays for it…

It really is but on the bright side the red car is everything I was going to do to the black car. I may make out here, already offered the guy and he accepted, he is going to hold the car for me so he can take videos and a lot of detailed pictures of it.
kinda sad they would throw their reputation away to get out easy on a job they botched but I guess it doesn’t surprise me.

The guy that has the red car is out of town for a couple of weeks anyway so id be waiting till then regardless.
Good to see they are listening to you now. If you can swing it, I’d buy the red car anyway, and sell it later for a profit if the black car gets done in time. Always good to have a plan B…

Talked with the guy in the office at CJRC, he was 100% strait up… the car hasn’t been touched, he’s not calling the shots and told the owner to start this car. Guy was very apologetic, but I’m over it,
car is getting picked up on Tuesday and moving forward on the red car.
