What trans is in it, the 6L80, or 4L60? Also, what lifters are you running, and is that new "Ghost Cam"?

Where are you getting all that hot idle oil pressure? That looks like a standard volume 295/10295 pump. What viscosity oil are you running?

Mavn,
this engine is still running the OEM piston and rings with 150K + miles, right? Just the cam, lifters, oil pump and head work/ .020 & VJ ?

Its a melling 10295 and i installed a red Copo Camaro spring in it for 20% more pressure over the standard spring. 10-30 VR1 oil.

Yes. It's got a *new* used rod on cyl 7. I put a new bearing on cyl 7 and 1 *new* used ring off another ls3 piston I had lol rest of it is all factort with 155k on it.

Awesome updates as always Mavn!

The dyno run, idle, and driveability videos showcase what we were after with this cam. You can have the idle mild and subtle or an unsteady idle with the idle speed turned down. It puts up some great numbers for its size. The driveability it offers is outstanding and your driveability video certifies that. The WOT pull at the end of the video is great. It shows while having those timid street manners it's got power at the ready when you're feeling sporty! It would be cool to see some track times on this as well. We know this isn't your track car but just to see where it's at.

So it is the New Cam, wow, didn't know or think you used "Oreilly Lifters, will have to keep in touch with you about that. And looks like it was still pulling at 7000 rpm!

Plan is e85 and rod mod intake then hit the track . I picked up another set of wheels with ET street rs on them. So it should hook. Guess well have to see

this is just incredible. How quiet is the valve train? That many miles and it puts down good numbers too. lol. What ring end gap did u use? I thought u were thinking about a turbo or is that a different car?

I didnt gap the rings . Whatever they are at after 150k miles. Haha

New set of wheels for the track have been acquired 😬 305/40/18 Et street Rs out back.. should hook this stock converter car id think 🤷🏻‍♂️

I run the ET Street R’s on my C5.
275/40/17
On a decent track they dead hook.
4L60 doesn’t have a tractor like first gear ratio like the 6L80, but I do have a converter that stalls 3800.

I think you will be fine.

Nice! Friend has a stock converter C6 with a small cam and headers, dyno'd ~440hp and runs 11.0 on street tires like clockwork. I'd guess 470 would be 10.7'ish.
