2014 Caprice 6.0 6L80 with a tune.
Bone stock 6.0 besides Cam and springs
Cam is E1840P, Springs are Pac1218
Problem = Engine is pushing on the OE converter at idle.
I am considering the ZL1 converter GM (24242552)
I don't mind leaving some performance on table just looking to NOT push on the converter when my fat foot isn't on the throttle.
Thanks For your help.

You might want to dial back your idle speed by 100 rpms or so.
Other than that and back to your question......I'm a fan of 'Yank' and Circle-D' converters. I would not go with less than 2600 stall and no more than 3200 stall....and nothing less than 3.23 gears (2.92 gears are stock).
Given the choice, when you're talking about a 4200 LB car and that cam, I'd opt for gears over a TC. But that's just me.
Best of luck with whatever YOU decide.

I have a 2800-3000 on my other car and it really woke it up.
but on that car I had experience with other converters and knew what I wanted/needed. I don't have any experience with this combination SO that is making me trigger shy.
