You do need to use the second design head bolt. The main reason we do not include them is because there are to many options. ARP head bolts, Studs, or GM stock bolts. We do keep all three in stock. Keep in mind when you purchase a short block at SDPC we sell you all ther parts needed at a discounted price! We try to have the best parts at the best price!!

Maybe I missed it but do any people with 2000 to 2002 Fbodys have these engines in there cars already and what numbers have you been getting. Thinking about going with one of these in my 2002 CETA or adding a turbocharger to it but dont know for sure what way would be the best to go yet. Gas mileage is important to me. I heard someone say a pretty bad number on the gas mileage. Are there any mods that can be done with this engine to improve its gas mileage. Do you think I would be better off going with a turbocharger and keeping my engine.

I sent you a pm earlier. We would be happy to build you a 402, and with the correct cam shaft we can still get decent fuel mileage. If I was wanting the best of both worlds I would use the 402, a nice but mild cam shaft, and 150 shot of nos for the race track!! I can get you a custom grind cam from Cam Motion that will be just enough to make power and be efficient!! Let me know if I can help!!

There are several different heads out there, and it realy depends on how much money you want to spend. I think the best bang for the buck is the AFR 205's or 225's. We sell a huge amount of these and have had no problems yet. I don't have any hp #'s, but we have sold alot of them with our 402 build ups.

If I can help with any of your parts needs please let me know. I have everything in stock that you should need.

Maybe I have missed it in the 19+ pages here, but has anyone come up with a reliable and practical way to work through the (knock) sensor issues? Placement, use, etc?
