Yes I know, I call (ROSS) and they make the pistons for my motor ,They told me that thay can make me a set of custom piston for a 418cid and they also cut all there pistons out for the relutor ring so they will all weight the same and dont haft to worry about putting the rong piston in the wrong hole, and plus they will balance out right, and could make me any compesson i want ,is 12.1 to much for 93 octane.

I don't think 12:1 is too much for 93 octane with the right cam.

if you're going to spend that kind of money to get a 418 why on earth would you use an off the shelf cam designed for STOCK heads and displacement? I would recommend getting a custom grind for what you want out of the car.

a 5.3 stage III head, custom ported & polished Farra 2.05"int. and 1.65"ex. polished combustion chamber, heads milled 0.030, 3 angle valve job, Patriot gold valve springs, and for the cam this is the cam that in my all forged 348cid. motor right now ,and will up grade to a bigger cam , What cam would be a power house cam for the street and strip for a 418cid. I have a 250 shot pro fogger N.O.S. M6 ,8.8 ford rear end , 4:30 gears , full race suspension .The only thing that's stock is the body and of you count the strip kit it's not ether

i would call futral or EDC and get a grind. I would guess something like a camotion grind 250/254 .64X on a 109 would be make good mid range tq and be a really good street/strip cam.

I've got a 250/266 .632/.632" 112 LSA Crane cam FS for $100. Came out of a crate motor 427 I bought and was never run. I can't use it for anything because I don't run No2, but with your 250 shot, it could be a nice addition.
