I've got an AWD SS. Times are all over the board, depending on conditions. Tell him not to get his hopes up for 13's, especially if it's AWD. While there are a select few running 13's stock, it's not representative of them all. It has nothing to do with driving skill, the guys running 13's are trapping 4 mph faster than most others.

Launching it is a sleep-fest. You can brake stall it @ 2300, flashing it doesn't seem to help. 2.16 60' are the norm for me, I ran three of those back to back once. Worst time was a 14.8@93. Best time was a 14.3@96 (added a k&n air filter). Inlet air temps play a HUGE role in how these trucks respond out of the hole. Torque management also comes in to ruin the fun as well.

There is a company out there that will perform a flash for a reasonable fee. I don't think they are a sponsor, so I won't mention their name. They claim 4 MPH in the quarter and much better driveability. That might be the case but they are the worst I've seen for customer response. I tried for a month just to get an address to mail my PCM to. No response to a PM, E-mail or even phone. That doesn't bode well for future support, so I quit asking. Anyway, that's a whole diff subject entirely, so there's your heads up.

I have a 2wd one best stock 14.02 at 98.5, 2.13 60ft. Worst stock 14.3X at 96.X. Both times the weather was pretty good. One other time I ran worse but I messed something up.

Added Vector tune setup for cold air induction (no cold induction but took off air filter cover) ran 13.65 at 100.55. Again, pretty good air.

I have heard the heat kills these trucks (more than you would think). I assume it's the factory calibrations.

It's all in the IAT tables. Vector posted them up on another board. It's crazy how much timing they pull out.

How much are you guys gaining by shutting of the TM?

Is Stabilitrac a separate hindrence to the ET's and if so what is gained by shutting it off?

Why are IAT's so wild on these trucks? Does the heat soak overwhelm the stock CAI?

Is the stock CAI very restrictive?

Unfortunately that cannot be done without a reprogram. The shop that does that has issues returning an E-mail/phone call/PM. I'll probably just wait for EFIlive V2 to come out and play with it myself.

I noticed no difference with Stabilitrac on/off. That's just mainly there in case you get out of shape on a wetroad, sideways, etc. I always turn Traction Control off though, which is seperate from Stabilitrac.

I haven't logged it but a few others have. Over 100 degrees is not uncommon when sitting still. The OEM "CAI" sucks *****. I can think of no other nicer way to put it. It pulls cold air in through a postage stamp sized hole in between the headlight. The airbox itself is sealed....relatively well. Unfortunately, aside from losing the coolant resevoir and breaking out the sawzall, there isn't a nice way to do it. My solution, at the track, is going to be yanking the headlight out next time.

That remains to be seen, IMHO. I've seen quotes of 10-15 RWHP (at a cost of $250). I think there are other areas that could be optimized first. Again, that's my opinion. First things first, it NEEDS a converter (and I need a free weekend to install my Yank )

High compression + heat+ heavy vehicle = bad

Just my 02 on why some much timing is pulled.

I watched my friend blaSSt run a 13.51@100.5 in his AWD TBSS with just a tune. This was in January at HRP, we had some pretty good air that night. He had gone 13.9x the week before with a tune.
